I’m shopping around for DJ’s at the moment and I am wondering if I am getting a fair price from one of my favorites. Keep in mind that I do live in Orange County, as services tend to be pricier here.
The guy that I am looking into quoted me $1,200 this includes our reception and ceremony (6 hours total), uplighting, a seperate MC and lighting operator.
What are you paying for your DJ?

Dude! This is cheap! Don’t even fight it, you got a huge package deal here. Even though I live in NJ, and the prices are different, I still can’t imagine getting all that for $1200! I’m paying $2500 for a similar package, and the dj told me that he just raised prices after my contact.

San Diego Here!
Our max budget was $1400 and we actually found someone for around there and gave us tons of lighting. Id say you got a great deal, especially in tje OC 🙂

Definitely a great deal! Make sure you like them and that they are professional. Glad to hear they’re one of your faves! I’ve seen prices anywhere from $1k-$3k, with most falling between $1100-2400, or $1750-2000

That sounds like a great deal! I am getting married in a much lower cost area (upper midwest), and most DJs in my area quoted similar prices to yours. We’re actually opting for a band instead because it will be cheaper.

That’s WAY cheaper than what I’m looking at here in Upstate NY!!!
DJ is $300/hour, with bells and whistles like he and the MC will be dressed in full tuxedos, they will provide uplighting that they can change throughout the night, they will bring about 10,000 songs with them so we’ll be able to request just about anything and they’ll have it (though I’m going to have to specially request this one Spanish song my Fiance and I love, but if I do that beforehand he’ll bring it). It also includes full set up and take down.
