I havent signed a contract yet, but it’s looking like $2500 for 2 photographers with 8 hours of coverage, engagement session, some photo credit and all the editing/digital copies.

We’re out here in California (also on the pricey side), and after shopping quite a few photographers, the one we chose was $3000 for 11 hours of photography, album, and prints.  I’ve known others in CA to pay $8k for photos.

We’re getting married in the midwest and will be paying about $1700.  This is all day single-shooter photography with CD and album with some prints, although we might pay a little more depending on what products we want.

I paid $800 for unlimited hours. She edited every photo and sent them on disks. She’s based out of the Philadelphia area but didn’t charge us extra for travel costs. She was awesome =)

It really varies depending on what you want. In Michigan we paid around $3500 for ten hours of coverage, an engagement session, photo guest book, and a CD of images. It was a great investment!

We’re getting married in the Chicagoland area (Chicago and surrounding suburbs), our photographer will be $3200 which is actually on the low end of all the photogs we looked at (highest we looked at was ~$5000).

I havent offically chosen my photog yet, but the one I really like is going to charge me about $3000 for 2 photographers, 8 hours of coverage, a USB with all the edited photos taken that day, credits towards am album and prints and then a 2 hour engagement session. Its seems they are a little pricey for the area, but they are amazing and I am willing to budget extra towards pictures.

I’m also in NYC.  We’re paying $3300 before tax for:

  • Engagement shoot
  • Full day coverage (9 hours) with second shooter
  • 100 4 x 6 prints, with option to purchase additional prints/sizes at cost
  • Online gallery, CD with all images and digital rights
  • “Mess the dress” or other post-wedding shoot

Just under $6,000 for 2 shooters unlimited hours (including engagement photos), a DVD of images, and a 10×10 album. They aren’t the most expensive photographers in our area, but they’re up there.

Hudson Valley, NY- $3200 for engagement session, 11 hours of wedding day photography (two photographers), hi res retouched images and rights to all of them, online gallery. I think we might get like 100 4×6 but I don’t care too much about that… which is probably why I don’t remember… lol. We can add on an album for like $600-1500 more, but we didn’t have the money in our budget just yet. We have up to a year to add it at the discounted cost, then after that we’d have to pay retail for the album which is like 30% more.
