Holy crap! I am so glad I live in Missouri.  LOL.  I paid $40 for hair, and $25 for makeup.  With a free trial!

Mine is $250 for hair/makeup and $125 for bridesmaids…I’m in the DC area and that seems to be the going rate. So I’d say your quote is a little high depending on how much experience they have and if it includes travel, etc.

My best quote was $260 for bridal hair and mu, and $120 for bridesmaids.  But I’ve definitely gotten a few quotes that were that high also.

@tokoloshee: WOAH!!! I’m doing to test products (sp. for photography) and do my own makeup.  So it just comes down to buying the stuff or finding samples in the process.

Hair will be about $40 for the destination wedding.  Taking my own curlers and stuff.

Bride only.

I’m paying $150 for hair and makeup, plus another $15-20 for lashes, and so are my bridesmaids–hair or makeup only is $75.  My trial was like $115 for both.  My hair/makeup team will come out to where we are getting ready for no extra charge.

I was very happy to find this kind of deal where I live, though I’m a little unhappy I’m not going with airbrush makeup, it’s just too expensive and not worth it.

I think it varies by region. I’m paying about $300 for hair/makeup (including my trial) and my maids will cost $95 for hair and makeup a piece. I chose a well known independent bridal hair specialist that has raving reviews.

I am paying $250 for hair and $250 for makeup! Makeup for bridesmaids in $75 and their hair is $100! Yes, it is expensive stuff.

I got super lucky. My friend from high school owns a salon and will be doing my hair (and some of the bridesmaids) as a wedding gift to me. One of my bridesmaids is a Mary Kay rep and will be doing my makeup. Can’t beat free!

The “best” quote that I’ve received for myself so far is $250 for wedding day hair/makeup + $125 for a trial. Bridesmaids/mom’s are $125 for a trial and $105-$150 for the wedding day. I’m not a big “makeup person” so these prices seem ridiculous to me! My favorite artist/stylist that I found was $600 for the bride alone and each bridesmaid/mom was $150+ …yikes! I loved her work, but there’s no way I can afford to spend $600+ for hair and makeup for one day.
