Fiance and I are starting to plan our honeymoon and were wondering what is the average amount spent on a honeymoon…so naturally I come to you Bees! How much did you/are you planning to spend on a honeymoon?

We’re only doing three nights at most for our honeymoon, but it isn’t financially driven. It will come under $1000 because of the location and shortened time. I would not mind spending up to $3500, though, if I had the time to go on a longer trip.

We spent a little over $10k (about £7k) on our three and a half week honeymoon. We spent two nights at Loch Lomond (Scotland), five in Singapore, two in Kuala Lumpur, one in Langkawi (both Malaysia), five on Koh Lipe, seven in Hua Hin and two in Bangkok (those three all in Thailand). Once we added in two nights away for the wedding and nights on flights we were away for four weeks.

We are spending ~$6k for 6 nights in Tokyo and 4 in Hong Kong, however we’re doing the airfare (first class) on miles and about half the hotels on hilton points. That $6k is only going to cover 5 nights’ hotels, dining, touring, activities, etc.
Just glad, if we had to pick two of the most expensive cities in the world for our honeymoon, that at least we had enough points/miles to cover a big dent of it.

We budgeted to spend the same on our honymoon as our weddng; so about 10K each .
We went over budget for our wedding, mostly by choosing to spend a little more for a lot more value; to the tune of about 15K.
However, we came under for ourhoneymoon; 8K for two weeks all-inclusive with 6 scuba dives and two rounds of golf at really posh courses.

Our “real” honeymoon was an 8 month backpacking trip through Asia and New Zealand. We spent about $22,000. Or long weekend trip right after the wedding (“minimoon”) was to the Rocky Mountain National Park, with a rented vacation home, and cost about $1200.

My parents gave us some of their timeshare points to rent a room at a resort in Aruba, we bought our plane tickets for $800 and have $1500 saved for food/expenses for the week.

We are going to rent a nice car, our plan is to stay 2-3 nights at a casino [which is somewhat nearby], with my fiances mother & father [as its a 2000 mile trip to visit us on our wedding, so we wanted to spend a few more days with them!]
Here’s the hotel we’ll be staying at :
, then we’ll spend 2-3 days at sybaris [if you havent been there before, there are suites with their own private heated pools :D]:
and then we’ll cap off our honeymoon with a trip to chicago, stay 2-3 nights at the hilton [our fav], and visit some of our favorite restaurants & attractions : mainly dave & busters 😀
Total for the rooms/car is going to cost us around $2000, before dining entertainment, which will most likely be another $2000.

we went to maui for 5 days. we’re not sure exactly how much we spent, but we’re pretty confident that it was under $3,000.
we booked ours thru costco. they always have good deals on vacation packages. we paid around $2400 for our flight, rental car, and hotel (the hotel is normally about $500/night). included in our package was a breakfast buffet (which is normall $26/person), $100 in resort credits (which helped off-set the extra resort fees), and 2 for 1 admission to the luau at the resort. i think with gas, food, attractions/souvenirs, etc we probably spent a total of $2700, maybe?
