Darling Husband and I are taking our mom’s to brunch (separately). That ‘could’ be a gift in itself, I suppose, but I’m feeling like I need to make sure each of them have a physcial gift.
I know it’s all relative, but I’m curious how much you are spending on your mom for an actual ‘gift’…. and, what you are getting them (I need inspiration!).

We’re going to brunch with SO’s family, not sure what were getting her yet, and then we’re cooking dinner for my mom and getting her a hydrangea. That’s what she asks for every year!

I usually get my mom and grandma gifts but not this year. We just bought a house and are doing tons of renovations on it so money is tight.
So instead I’m taking them to a nice brunch which is $45 per head so that’s pricey in and of itself. DH is also taking his mom to brunch, (separately).
Of course we’re getting them all cards. I felt kind of bad at first but then thought my mom would be mad at me for spending money on her when she knows how many expenses we have right now.

I was planning on $100 for my mom but then I went to get the ingredients for the awesome dinner that I’m making her so now it’s looking more like $150+. I had NO idea that leg of lamb was so friggin’ expensive ($10 p/lb!). Why didn’t I offer to make chicken parm? *sigh* So, dinner on top of the floral arrangement that I’ve ordered and the spa gift certificate will cost a pretty penny.
My Mother-In-Law will be more like $70. She’s getting flowers and a GC for a massage.

I got my mom a $20 box of chocolates, plus made a donation to Planned Parenthood in her honor. (I do this every year, she loves it!!)
I’m also taking her and my stepdad out to brunch.

I sent my mom a Pandora-style bead for her bracelet and a card – so, a little less than $50. I’ll get my Future Mother-In-Law flowers and a card and hopefully make her a dessert of some sort.

I didn’t spend much on my mom. She has been wanting a fake flower arrangment for the dining room table and I spent a little less than $20 on it. And for my work mom, I got her a Willow Tree statue and that was only $16.
