I put a downpayment on dress at DB, and wound up getting the same dress for free from a friend at work.  I used the $300.00 I put down to give each Bridesmaid or Best Man $100 at DB for their dress, they wound up paying the tax.  By the time this fiasco happened I already had purchased lockets from ETSY, and had pictures put in of the people most important to each Bridesmaid or Best Man, ie. their kids, passed away parent etc. those were each about $35.00 so i wound up paying $135.00 per Bridesmaid or Best Man.

The Flower Girl, I had three, each got the same necklace, and their dresses cost $12.00 off ebay. I did pay for one Flower Girl dress.  I wouldn’t have spent that much on BM’s and they would have been fine with it, but meh it all worked out.

More than I intended to.  I paid for a portion of their dresses (somewhere around $150-200 by the time shipping was included), paid for each girl’s hair & make up to be professionally done, a monogrammed tote bag, a monogrammed bathrobe, a necklace, and earrings.  Each of the girls uses the bags/bathrobes a lot since the wedding.  I purchased the necklace and earrings because I thought they would like them and thought they may want to wear them for the wedding but in no way required them to.  My Maid/Matron of Honor also stayed with me in the hotel room the night before the wedding so she didn’t have to pay even more for travel expenses.

Some people may argue that I didn’t get them personal, nonwedding stuff but getting some wedding related things is just what is done in my circle.  Plus, my SILs/bridesmaids and Maid/Matron of Honor all had to travel cross country to attend the wedding.  They each told me they were appreciative of the gifts helping offset some of their expenses and not giving them random things instead.

I gave them 100 dollars for their dress

Paid for their make up 50 dollars

Bought them a Tiffany’s coin purse 75 dollars

Bought their wedding jewelry 60 dollars

Let them spend a night in a suite that was 1,000 bucks!

On another note, I rented that suite for an after party after the wedding, and I literally could not get up to go it! So, I told my bridal party that it was all theirs!

I’m spending just under $100 for each. I’m paying for half of their hair/makeup which is about $35, vera bradley shopper totes (on clearance for $5), vera bradley medium cosmetic bags (also on clearance for $10), Vera bradley sun glasses with case (also on clearance at outlet for $25), various Bath and Bodyworks shower stuff to place in cosmetic bags (about $10), and I made each a personalized hanger (about $5..maybe less). If I paid full price for all of this stuff it would have been close to $200-250, but I was lucky and able to get great deals.
