jesus,  our food is costing £50 per head,  and we are having 25 people,  then the wine is £15 per bottle.  red and white wine on each table and of course the champagne for speeches.   so approx  £1,500  maybe?   i am making my own cake but obviously have bouthgt the things i need for that which will be in the region of £50

We’re not having alcohol at the reception, but I’m only talking to caterers who come in at $2,000. Catering is pretty low on our priority list, so I’m going as low as possible on that one.

My reception venue comes with food and alcohol, but my cakes are going to run me just under $800 for my wedding and groom’s cake. This is a four tier buttercream wedding cake and a two tier tiger striped groom’s cake. This should feed between 150 – 200.

Our venue includes the food and everything else… so it’s hard to say how much is just for food.  We are getting some “extras” though for the reception and a second entree, so that raised the price a bit.  Still deciding if we have to do the whole cheese platter and varied meats.  Our cake is included as well but it won’t be anything extravagent since it’s only for 40 people.

The only thing we really wanted to splurge on was the food… we want our guests to have a nice dinner.  🙂  Well fed people are happy people.
