I’ve budgeted $1000 but I hope to come in well below that.

We are lucky because our venue is already “decorated” the way we like. We are only spending an extra couple of hundred dollars for some aisle decor that will be repurposed during the reception. I think for what you are getting, you are getting a great deal.

Less than $200. Everything is coming from the DOLLAR TREE.  I can’t see spending so much on decor. I’d rather spend it on our honeymoon.

When you say ‘decorations’ what do you mean? Linens? Flowers? Rose petals? Lighting?

Well, I can’t really break down how much I’m spending. I paid for my venue and it comes with everything, including flowers, linens, china, centerpieces (that I get to choose), and much much more. I paid $6,000 for the venue. That price also includes two wedding coordinators (ceremony and reception). Hope this helps.

If I consider linens, tables, chairs, centerpieces, ceremony decor, and reception decor, I’m probably looking at just under $1000. However, I have a specific vision, and my setup is based on MY vision.

We’re paying $4.5 per chair cover and sash, so for 60-70 guests that will be just short of $300 for the chairs. For the flowers (table centerpieces, head table flowers, two arrangements for the ceremony location, corsages & boutonniers for the wedding party plus simple boutonniers for all the guests) we’re paying around $800.

Any other decorations we’ll do ourselves, I’ve bought some silk flowers from ebay to decorate staircases and pillars, and we’ll DIY lots of candle holders to light after dark. For the ceremony venue (gazebo) we’ll do some simple fabric decorations or maybe flower pomanders. I’ve already spent around $100 on supplies for the DIY decorations and have a feeling I’ll be spending at least that much again.

So, all in all, I guess we’ll be spending around $1300 on decorations including everything, but withouth the help of a professional designer. If the decorations are really important to you and you have the money to afford it, I think you should go for it. I have over paid on some things just because being free from the stress and worry about handling it myself is worth more to me than saving the extra $.

I think it sounds like a pretty good deal, especially if it covers the chairs, linens, etc! I’m not sure how many guests you’re having, but for my 15- chairs alone (the venue’s are those AWFUL stacking banquet chairs that can’t even be helped by covers…) its going to be about $1000! So to have centerpieces, decor, etc all done AND set up sounds like a reasonable price.

Are we talking not including flowers? We’re spending $5500 on linen/napkin rentals, chiavari chairs, and lighting. Flowers are going to be another $12000.
