We are doing a donation in memory of my Dad, so we figured about $3 per guest, 160 guests, so I’ll probably round to $500.

Our shot glasses will be just under a dollar each.  As will the dice for the kids (since they aren’t old enough for shot glasses, lol).

Mine are free.  Dad owns a tree nursery and is growing my seedlings for me.   The burlap we are getting for them is free too.

I used luggage tags that I customized with monograms. It cost me about $150 for 60, so about $2.50 each. They were on sale at Michael’s for 25% off so they would have been just slightly more if I hadn’t caught the sale.

We made the cutest little mini family recipe books as favors!  They will be costing less than $0.32 each, because we only had to buy ribbon and printing (paper was leftover from invitations!).

<$3.  Putting small succulent plants in varied glass jars with a little dirt and some river rocks.  These are also doubling as my centerpieces so I’m killing two birds 🙂

Hoping most people take one home, but if not I’m donating the leftovers to the conservatory where we’re getting married and/or a retirement home.

I just put one together for poos & giggles and they are SO cute.

ETA:  Forgot that we’re also giving away soy candles from my shop, so my $ amount is going to rise a dollar.  We are inviting 160, hoping for 140 people.

This is a great thread because I’ve been looking into favors and have no idea what is normal.. I don’t want to spend too much, but it’s hard to do good ones for super cheap.

I think it would also be helpful if people include how many guests/favors… because $5 might sound really expensive, but not for a wedding with 20 people.

Ours will be somewhere around $1.50-$2.00 each.  We’re doing little bags with Godiva gem truffles (FH absolutely loves Godiva) and some other various candies.  With almost 300 guests, it adds up quickly. =)

Ours got a little out of hand (and believe it or not this was the groom’s fault, not mine!).  We spent about $15 per couple or single guest, so about $800 total.

We’re spending $1 per guest on our favors.  Actually, we just got a great deal on our favors, that brings it down to $0.67 each, but we’re now thinking of adding to them!

Mine are free too. My Dad works for M&M Mars and we are getting the full size Dove candy bars for free for each place setting. We tie a cute note on each thanking the guests. My Dad is also helping us with a lot of the chocolate for our candy bar.

    YAY for DAD!! 😉

We are giving people two Lindor truffles. We’re buying in bulk, so about a dollar or $1.50 each. In our circle of friends, no one takes home the favour unless it’s candy.
