It’s $129 to rent a tux here in Oregon. I didn’t even look into buying, I just assumed it was easier this way.

@accorn:  My FH and the bestmen are renting their tuxes, each tux and shoes is $120. If we get 5 people to rent tuxes and shoes, then the 6th set is free. Which we already have all 6 spots filled 🙂

We didn’t do a tux rental because you can’t tailor them and Fiance likes European slim fit. We bought his tux on sale at Macys for $500 including shirt and bow tie. It’s Ralph Lauren.. They always have good brands on sale there.

The guys are wearing grey suits, because why pay $100+ for a tux that you won’t own when you can get a suit that you will own & can wear again. Every guy needs a good suit! We got a really good deal from macy’s. They are paying $170 for a CK suit that normally cost $300+

our suits are about $150 to rent. Fiance gets one free (to keep) after 5 guys rent.

I’d love to put the guys in dark grey suits, but we have 8 guys standing up, so I feel like asking them all to buy a suit would be difficult, plus FI wants a black tux so…he’ll get a black tux. I’ve asked around and most people say to budget $150-200 for it.

We bought FI’s tux because we knew he’d have to wear a tux again at least two more times for our cruise’s two formal dinners.  The smartest thing to do for us was to buy it since renting a few times would cost more than buying.  The rest of the groomsmen are renting their tuxes for $130.  For FI’s tux, Men’s Warehouse was having their buy one get one for $100 promotion so that’s what we did.  We bought him a new suit for non wedding purposes and his tux was $100 (with the shoes, cumberbun, cufflinks, bowtie it was about $170ish)

We rented ours from MW for $160 each (this was after a $40 off coupon I had, so they were originally $200 each).

rented from MW.  It was $130 for standard CK tux, but hubby ended up getting his free with 5 other rentals (3gm and our dads)

Our guys are wearing vests and matching pants .. we had them order them from Macy’s – $100 for both because we waiting for a sale – way cheaper than renting a tux and they get to wear the stuff to work afterwards

We bought suits from MW for $192 each (I think it was during a buy one, get one half off or something like that). Plus, since we paid for the suits and the guys are paying us back, we got a $100 gift card for spending over $1000 at once. So, we’re basically getting all his accessories there for free.

The guys bought their suits at a buy one get one free sale….They all got suits for $200 plus tax each… Regular $400 suits. They figured for a bit more they all wanted to buy their suits.

I think they were $130 each (maybe a little more with all the fees) with the 6th free.  But we’re paying for all the rentals.  We felt more comfortable paying for them because we picked them out and the gms are all traveling to the wedding.  I told my girls I would pay for their dresses but they insisted on paying for their own.
