We spent $1200.  We got full day coverage, a trailer, the short film, and coverage of the entire wedding, first dance and toasts.  I’m in St. Louis.  A link to our short film (4ish minutes) is below, so you can see quality…I think they did a stellar job!

Ours is $2,000… I wasn’t going to get one but my fiance’s mom insisted and is paying for it.

I was quoted $1,500 for 8 hours of shooting, a highlight video and 3 blu rays that would include 3-4 hours of coverage and “scene selection” capability so you can skip to ceremony, or first dance, etc. Not sure if I’m going to do it yet though. I could also add another videographer for an additional $500.

We were lucky and found our videographer through Craigslist since he was just starting out and does really nice cinematic style videography.  We paid $950 for all day coverage, a highlight video, 3 DVDs, a portable hard drive of the raw footage, and a 2nd shooter.  A steal IMO for the DC area!

ETA: Quotes from other videographers in my area were $2500 and up.

I had my cousin tape the ceremony and important parts of the reception using his electronic camcorder. It was free. Nothing fancy, but nobody cares about it but me and I just like to be able to see it, I don’t need fancy.

$2600 in western MI. Documentary style 10 hours I believe. Highlight song video with a song for the getting ready/ceremony and a song for the reception.  Also got an edited version of the full day with scene selection on DVD. 2-3 shooters
