Well as I have been looking through the posts I have noticed an array of cash that everyone is spending on their wedding bands. I think that the best advice given is no matter how much $ you spend it is what you love that matters and as long as it don’t put you in the hole go for it. I have a very simple e-ring and want a lot of bling for my band because I think that the band should stand out more. So we will probably spend about $2,500- 3 on mine and have it custom made. His won’t be bad at all he wants a tungsten. No matter what you do you’ll love the meaning behind it more then anything else!

@amysue: I know exactly what you’re talking about! I too have to have a custom made band to fit my e-ring…and was not expecting to have to spend that much money! Oh well, I LOVE my e-ring and wouldn’t change it for the world…so guess that means paying more than I had originally hoped…

His ring is a 14k white gold ring with band of diamonds at the top for $1100
When I was first looking I was looking at getting a eternity Tacori diamond band to match my Tacori, which would set me back $1700 (maybe even more)
I ended up being ok with the fact of not having a matching tacori band and found a place with 14k white gold eternity bands and they were $700 each….so I got 2! ha ha so all together a bit over $1400. yay for framing my ering!

We got my fiance’s ring on ebay for $38 including shipping. We’ll have to pay to have it sized still, but I’m super excited about it. We haven’t found my ring yet, but it’ll be around $300 probably.

We are spending about $1K total for both–we are getting simple platinum bands, no bling. What surprised me is that the jeweler was willing to work with our budget and knocked down the price a bit (a few hundred dollars). i’ve definitely learned from this wedding process that every price is negotiable!

Mine is gold/white gold, (see avatar) and his is gold. The rope represents the rope each of us will be tied up with, in any escape attempt :). $4k total for rboth my rings, and his.

My Fiance is getting a palladium band, no diamonds and its approximately $400, which is over our original budget, but its the one he likes and he’ll be wearing it a while…Mine was waaaaay over our budget coming in at $730…but it looked great with my Engagement Ring (it is white gold with diamonds half way around)…and it was on sale because it was being discontinued..we clearly could not pass that up haha…
I suppose the amount you spend on rings really depends on what your budget is, and what works for you 🙂

Gee whiz, I thought I was spending an arm and a leg for ours, $700 for both.

We’re spending very little on wedding bands but that’s because we’re already on a tight budget but we don’t really like anything too elaborate. Of course it helps that my FH can’t wear a ring at work due to safety hazards, so I figured why spend a fortune on something he’ll only wear part of the time. I think the tungsten band he likes will only run about $80 through http://www.titaniumkay.com (plus I’m going to get a chain for him to wear at work to put it on) and my band is going to be simple, maybe $200 at the most, but I just want a white gold band that fits with my ring well. My FH and I figure we’ll upgrade in a few years but right now all that matters is getting married!

My fiance fell for a titanium ring with even-armed crosses cut out of it alternating with small diamonds that cost $200.
My mom gave me a half eternity band that my dad gave her so my only cost will be about $30 or so to get it rhodium plated (turn the yellow gold to white.)

We ended up getting ours in the Diamond District in LA, so it was ALOT cheaper than we had hoped for, especially after looking at rings everywhere else. I got a white gold bane with princess cut diamonds in a chanel setting (diamonds go to just past where the fingers close on the site, not all the way around) for just under $500 and my Fiance got an 8mm white gold band with the line etching on the side for about $360.

My 3 mm white gold celtic shield ring will be a bit under $200, and his 5.5mm matching white gold celtic shield ring will be a little over $300.

0$ – definitely one of the perks of my job working for a high jewelry house! 🙂

Mine was $950 and his was $1450. In addition, I will get a half eternity diamond band to match my e-ring.
