we haven’t made ANY plans about the honeymoon yet but have agreed  that we’ll go to this INCREDIBLE, fairly secluded villa in St. Lucia with beautiful views of the mountains and sea and a real ‘garden of eden’ feel about it; the place was constructed to flow so effortlessly in and out of the natural scenery that surrounds it.  i have had this villa bookmarked literally since i was 15 years old, saying i’d go there on my honeymoon. well…lo and behold…

since i’ve daydreamed about this before, i know it’ll probably ring up to about $5k for a week and a half. we’re not going to do many $$$ activities there: just RELAX after four excruciating years at an insanely rigorous college, enjoy each others’ company, swim in the waterfalls and explore the rain forest. so we’ll save a lot that way.

We’re budgeting for 5K, but hopefully we won’t go over it…or hopefully come near it.  We’re going to try for a tropical location in an all-inclusive resort, so we’ll see.

way too much. we are kinda splitting the honeymoon into a week before and 12 days after, long story, so spliting is is making it easier to pay for, and we’re doing a honeymoon resitry for the second part but it will end up around 8k in total. Total splurge, will probably never take a trip this pricey but parents are paying for wedding and we are really into travel, even having some travel adventure themes woven in. I’ve heard a lot of stories of people taking rediculously amazing honeymoons and though they were damaging financially they are never regretted.

we are doing Sandals Grande in St. Lucia…air was about $1200 and the resort is about $4000.  But we figure since it is all inclusive and adutls only, it is worth the price tag.

We’ll probably spend about $4,000 – $5,000 for a two week honeymoon in California. Starting in San Diego for a few days and driving up the Coast to San Fran for a one or two night stay…and then off to Wine Country for a week! 🙂

13K which is ridiculous to think about since the air was minimal (used my airline miles) but it is the trip of a lifetime- 1 week safari in South Africa and 1 week on the beach in Mauritius

$0. 🙁 We refuse to use credit and paid cash for the wedding, which wiped us out and left nothing for the honeymoon. We’re currently saving to make up for it with a honeymoon/vacation this summer.

I think ours will be aroung $4000, including air and scuba diving, etc. We are planning to go to Cozumel for 7-8 nights and stay at the Wyndam Aura.

We’re spending about $5000 to go to Rome (and a few surrounding cities) for six nights and Ireland for three nights, and that includes airfare, food, transportation and a few excursions.

Our budget is approx. $5k for 11 days in Hawaii (2 islands), flights, hotels, and car rentals.  I did a honeymoon registry so hopefully all of the activities will get paid thru that!

This is an interesting thread, really cool to see all of the destinations and a PP sold me on Costa Rica’s Montezuma for my next big vacation…whenever that is.

We booked Sandals Hylcon Beach in St. Lucia. It was not the cheapest but it is the smallest and most quiet of the 3 on the island and right in the middle so we can really stay at 1 and play at 3. Our total came out to about $5,000 for 10 all inclusive nights and flight.

We just booked ours for $2400. 7 nights in Punta Cana and the price includes flights, transfers, and all-inclusive resort. I really searched for a great deal! Our initial budget was $3000 but I was so excited to get it much cheaper than that.
