ours will probably be about 10,000 to 15,000++ for a week in a private villa in the turks and caicos…originally were going to do a european trip for a few weeks but since we have very demanding jobs, can’t get a lot of time off

We were planning on spending between 5000-6000 for the honeymoon but we just bought a house that was quite a bit more expensive than we planned so our honeymoon may consist of cheese and wine on the living room floor. lol.

We have already spent $3500 for our flights and hotel to Buenos Aires, and will probably spend more when we are there for food, drinks, shopping.  I wanted to “travel” more than do an all-inclusive, but now I am a bit jealous…

We are going to Portugal for the first week of our honeymoon and France for the second. My Future In-Laws have generously offered to cover the cost of our accommodations in France. I will pay for our flights with air miles. So I anticpate that our accommodations in Portugal, as well as meals and spending money in both Portugal and France should ring in around $4k-$5k (we are both huge foodies and intend to splurge on some fancy meals!).

$7000 for a month in Asia, but we are only paying half of it because my parents are paying for the air tickets.

Wow, such a vast difference in costs between posts!

We’re hoping to fly to NYC, couple days there, then fly San Fran, then over a lazy 10 days, drive to Vegas via LA,  then fly to Washington DC, couple days there , then home! I reckon we wouldn’t get out on less than 8k euro, though, (roughly $10k, I think) so that whole trip may just not happen. Is it possible to get hotels you’d even want to stay in for $200 per night?!

Alternatively, thinking about driving across northern Spain, from San Sebastian to Barcelona. Waaaay cheaper, and there is a world class spa halfway between the two… I may start doing the Lottery!

We are spending 2 weeks in Thailand and it will be about 12,000. That does include our wedding ceremony. We are having a weddingmoon with just the 2 of us and then a big reception when we get home.

I don’t know if I posted on this thread yet.. I might have.. but I have an update since I just came back from my honeymoon.

We spent $2800 on a 7 day trip to an adult only all inclusive to Cancun (Secrets Silversands) and that included airfare from Seattle.  (Thanks to CheapCarribean.com)

During our honeymoon we spend about $600 on excursions and about $300 on souveniers and tips.

We’re spending about $10,000 on a two week trip to Greece- this includes airfare, trip insurance, some meals and a lot of activities.  This is our last big trip before we decide to start having kids so we wanted to make it our dream vacation.

This isn’t on my radar yet, but I think I’m lucky to live near the Atlanta airport judging from everyone elses airfare costs.  I checked today, and I could get on a flight to Dublin for about $350.  Puerto Rico for $175.  We’ll probably be looking for somewhere with a good beach and good climbing.  Greece perhaps?  😀  I can’t wait to start planning this part!

As Fiance and I are both pretty crazy about the States (we are from EU/ The Netherlands ourselves, though I spend quite some time in AL, USA over the past years) we had already been planning a roadtrip through the SouthWestern part of the States. The idea was to do so this year, but when he proposed to me and we started planning the wedding we realized that paying for both the wedding as a 3-4 week long roadtrip throught the States really wasn’t gonne fit our budget heh. So this summer we’ll be staying close to home, I am thinking about taking a weekend away after the wedding to have some ‘newly-wed’ time after such a stressy period. And then next summer our roadtrip will be our honeymoon. Not sure yet on the budget but I think we’ll be around 5000$ total, including airfare, accomodation (we thinking about renting a small uhm whatyoucallthose, RV?), food, sighseeing and stocking up on all the things we can’t get here (think Ranch Dressing, shampoos, Old Navy/GAP/Nike clothing stuffies, golden oreo cookies, yadda yadda yadda! /giggles)! I am looking forward to the wedding but am almost as much looking forward to our belated honeymoon!! 🙂
