For those of you who had/are having wedding videographers, can you share how much you are spending on them? I’m in the DC area, but the ones here don’t really have the style I’m looking for, so I’m thinking of hiring out-of-state cinematographers to fly in and do our wedding. The ones I contacted all start around $2,000 so it’ll be more after factoring in travel fees. They all include either 1shooter with 3 cameras or 2 shooters with 2 cameras, 8-hr coverage and a DVD with full edits and one montage with a song of our choice.
I’m up for hiring anyone who has great style and also not outrageously expensive… if you guys have a recommendation, please do share! Website of the videographer would be a plus, so I can check out sample videos.

We’re going to have a film student from a local college do it, so we’re thinking $500 MAX. Probably less. We’ll see…

I think I’ll end up around $2300 when all is said and done. We are using Well Spun Wedding Films, and I am so excited! I researched for a long time. 🙂

We will end up spending around $1500 for 5 hours, 3 dvds, blu-ray and the raw footage.
(We will have the main videographer and two assistants, and each has an HD camera)

We are paying $1200 for two videographers for Friday coverage of our traditional Nigerian ceremony (6pm-midnight) and all day coverage of the Saturday church ceremony and reception (2pm-midnight) + 3 DVDs. The company, Cinema Elegance, (http://www.cinemaelegance.com/) is based in Corpus Christi Texas. The owner is a retired Methodist minister and is super nice. Since he is fairly new to the videography business he is willing to work with your budget. Check out his website to see some of his amazing work!

We’re only paying 1400 for both video and photo as far as hours go. Great deal and they do excellent work. But then there are of course the prices for the actual pics/video.
Definitely get as good quality as you can. But also look for someone who is willing to work within your budget. That is what we got. We found them on craigslist.

A friend made ours. I’m really glad we went that way, because she knew us better than a professional would have. We ended up with not only the wedding video, but a hilarious bloopers video.

ugh…after seeing all of these prices i feel like we should keep looking. Fiance and i are planning on booking endless wave studios, because we fell in love with them and they have the MOST amazing cinematography we’ve ever seen, it’s not like any other wedding video….but for photo and video, all day from when we wake up it’s going to be about 5,000…normally over 6,000 but we’re making some changes…
