$190 for my BMs and that was including alterations (Bari Jay dress)

Other dresses I looked at but not everyone was comfortable with spending on:

    Lazaro and Jim Hjelm Occasions

@missjewels:  It is tough!  I would say just keep an eye on sales.  I got lucky and right before the holidays scored some $123 dresses, that were half off from Ann Taylor!

I’m paying for my bridesmaids dresses and have told them that they can get dresses up to $150, but preferably less than that. We’re not having a very formal wedding though, so that helps.

About $150 with tax, no alterations needed.

Mine are going to end up around $300 after alterations I think. It sucks but those are the only ones I like… I want to do mismatched dresses so we picked the long Dessy ones

My girls aren’t spending a dime on a new dress, I’m letting them wear a black dress that they already have.  I’m also letting them wear whatever shoes they want.  I don’t care how they wear their hair, or what jewelry/accessories they have.  It’s made the whole wedding party process really easy for me.

Mine are $145, I actually felt that was too pricey and offered to put $100 towards each dress but they turned me down. So I’ll just have to do hair/makeup to make it up.

They’re picking out their own shoes/accessories.

mine were $126….and two of my girls had a fit =(  I really couldnt help them with the dresses and since everyone is different height and shape it was hard to agree on a dress….it gets really pricey out there!

Look in stores like BCBG, Winners, The Bay, H&M you’d be suprised what you can find that are suitable (and WAY less money!)

Mine were originally $100 but since I got them at Davids Bridal and I bought my dress there, the girls get $20 off, so $80. They are knee length.

I hate to admit that mine were $240. They did get 10% off (and don’t have to pay all at once) but I still felt guilty…although they picked them out and I in no way pressured them to buy this particular dress. Oh well. I know everyone says this, but these dresses really can be cut short and worn again so that helps.

we chose $60 convertible dresses. I couldn’t stomach the idea that they’d spend any more than that.
