I am in Southern Florida. For ten hours of photography (plus photographing the bridal shower, a day after shoot, shooting the rehearsal dinner and a second photographer) we are paying $1750.00

For six hours of DJ and photo booth combo we are paying $1550.00

I’m in the Toronto area. We paid $1975 (+tax) for the DJ from 4:30pm- 1am or so including intelligent lighting and $2800 (+tax) for our photographer. Photographer included full day, 5 framed enlargements and 1 album with glass cover and our engagement shoot.

In Annapolis, I’m paying around $5,000 for photographers ( two shooters , 8-10 hours) and around 1,000 for a DJ for up to 6 hours. Unfortunately the MD /DC area is not cheap….

I’m in the northern Midwest. We’re not doing a DJ, but a band – which is more no matter what. I did see that some DJs in the area were around $1K for basic packages (like 4 hours of music, etc). Our band is $2,500. We saw them at another wedding dance for a distant relative to my Fiance – and they were great. We’re so excited, and feel the money will be well spent.

My photographer charges $850 for the first 8 hours, and then an additional $100 for each hour after that. Right now, I’m thinking of having her for 10-11 hours… which would be just around $1,200 or so. She does photography on the side, but does a GREAT job. She did a friends wedding last month and her pics were beautiful. She was very reasonable compared to others in the area.

I didn’t have a DJ…

My photographer was $1250 for 6 hours coverage, full printing rights, and an engagement session. He was wonderful; I feel very fortunate to have found him at such a relatively affordable price.

New Hampshire

$2300 for photogtaphy. 2 photographers for 8 hours, engagement shoot, and a mini album.

$2000 for DJ. I know this is a lot, but he is a musician as well. So we’ll have piano during the ceremony/dinner, acoustic guitar for cocktail hour, and he’ll DJ the reception. He’s also going to perform our first dance on guitar with vocals 🙂 This price also includes unlimited hours/uplighting.

I got married in RI and was SUPER surprised to find that DJs were just as expensive as bands.  So we got a band!  It cost $3000.  Our photographer was around $5600.

My photographer is $3150 including the engagement shoot

DJ is $1200 for just the DJ – photobooth and lights are extra $$

I’m in South Florida, so a fairly expensive area, but a lot of options

My DJ is $350.  He did my sis in law’s wedding was really good!  He gave us a deal because it was a referral and because we’re all Filipino LOL. and it was surprise to find out that his partner in the business is a guy I used to work with!

My photographer is $1600.  She’s the cousin of my FH’s bestfriend and gave us a great deal.  We get all day photography, 2 photographers, makeup & hair (3 trials) and a pre-photoshoot for the whole wedding party that we are doing this weekend in casual clothes and stuff in studio and outdoors.

But normally in average for here in Vancouver, BC a DJ costs around $500 and up and Photography goes from $800 to $3000

Our wedding was in the SF Bay Area, which is pricey!  Our photographers were $3800 (not including $300 tax, ugh, added at the end… always read the fine print!) for an engagement shoot and 2 shooters for 7 hours at the wedding/reception.  I will say that I am super glad we splurged for this, as their work is exceptional and they are gems to work with!

Our DJ was a bit trickier, as we had a friend come from the East Coast who charged $1000 (which was a discount), but we had to rent all the speaker equipment, which was an additional $675 (we thought it would be $200 max, but our venue is tricky and we needed extra speakers for the ceremony space that were seperate from the reception space equipment).  We probably could have chosen someone local and saved money, but the music was so amazing and the cheese factor was zero, so I’d do it again in a heartbeat.  Good luck!
