I usually never have cash on me. If I do it is for a specific reason/event like to pay my house cleaner or to go to a festival or something, and generally no more than $200.

I normally keep less than $40 cash on me at any given time, and most times it’s likely around $10 or so. If I keep cash on me it’s easier to mindlessly spend it with no sense of accountability, and since my husband and I try to stick to our budget pretty religiously it helps.

Honestly, I hardly ever carry cash unless I’m going somewhere that I don’t think accepts CC. If I do, I don’t carry more than $100.

I like having around $20 in a few different denominations just in case. But I’ve had a lonely $5 bill in there for a few months now and I’ve never gotten around to getting more.

In general I don’t use cash so I rarely have any surplus, but I always have $40 as ’emergency’ cash. I keep it in case there are problems with my cards/power outages in stores/cash only businesses. I don’t have to use it often and do my best to forget that it’s there. Other than the emergency $40 I sometimes have a bit of change, and very occasionally a $20 bill if someone’s paid me back for something.

I try to always carry a little cash. Right now I have $33. But 99% of the time i use my card to rack up airline points.

I almost never have cash on me unless I’ve taken it out for a specific purpose. If I have cash it’s usually between $40-$60.

It has nothing to do with not feeling comfortable carrying cash, I just rarely use cash because I hate change. It’s rare that I have any cash in my wallet – if I do it’s less than $20. I always pay with my debit or credit card.

I am a bit of a worrier so I feel “comfortable” when I have enough cash to limit those worries. I try to always have a hundred dollar bill stuffed somewhere hidden and sort of forgotten. Then I try to keep one $50 bill, two twenties(or four twenties if I don’t have a fifty), a ten, two fives, five ones, a dollar in quarters, and an assortment of other change. However… I am a worrier who is also disorganized so I usually don’t have this. My wallet is either completely bare or completely stocked. I just feel more comfortable when I prepare.

I have my “lucky” $5 bill I found in my purse, which I don’t use. Normally it’s maybe a few bucks w/ any loose change. On business travel I may carry $40-$50 bucks to allow for tipping a driver, grab a bottled water, etc.

Fiance carrys $200-$300+ in cash at all times. (he rarely uses his debit for food/gas purchases)

I will rarely carry cash and if I have cash on me it is for a particular purpose.

The most I will have is $100 and that makes me feel uncomfortable.
