@endplusone: Before I gained weight I was a 38 band, and wore exclusively Calvin Klein bras, however they do not make a 40. 🙁

Usually $25-$60, but i got my last two on sale for $9.99!! And they’re actually my size (30c)!
Normally though I will spend what it takes to get one that’s well-made and really fits. So if you can swing it, I’d say buy the bra but make it last as long as you can.

@endplusone: Check out Dillard’s. The Little Bra Company is good too.

@WestTexasCowgirl: that does help! Since I do not take good care of my bras, I have no idea how long a bra even could last if I took good care of it! Thanks!

i have little boobies and i barely fill most bras, so i can’t justify spending more than like, $20 for a regular bra. i buy a lot of my bras in the little girls’ department, so most of mine are like, $7.99 or 2/$10. i spent about $50-60 on my longline bra for my wedding and that’s the most i’ve spent ever.

@priyawouldntwannabeya: I hate the lack of variation in bra sizes in stores. Am I crazy, or are people mushing their cha chas in whatever is most readily available? I don’t see how what is available in stores represents the average population.

I just worked it out, and with taxes, the bra would ring in at a whopping $194! This is it:

@renwoman: it just seems like SUCH a big splurge. I went in hoping to buy 2 bras for about $200. And I thought that was a large budget. If I buy this one I can only get 1 bra for that budget!

@priyawouldntwannabeya: Not in that range :/ Let me think on it though! There is a large gap in the lingerie market in your size range. There are plus size brands, but their cups start larger. I’ll send you a PM

I think it’s worth it if it gives you an amazing shape. All your clothes will instantly look better, your posture will improve and your figure will be enhanced. Personally, I think people underestimate the importance of spending money on a good bra unless they’re an unusual size. It’s scaffolding and structure, and you wouldn’t build a house without reliable foundations!

@priyawouldntwannabeya: 40 isn’t that crazy…there’s just a gap in the market 🙂 Size has nothing to do with bra band size. I am a size 10 and a 34 band. I was a size 4 and a 34 band too.

I think $100 is my max as well. I was properly fitted at a specialty store and it’s the greatest thing ever. My boobies look right, feel right, sit where they’re supposed to…it’s wonderful. Each of the bras I bought were somewhere in the 50-80 range, I bought 4 for ~$300? So yeh.
