$895: Platinum, Comfort Fit, Flat Band, 6mm, Size 10.

He wanted something classic and timeless that will stand the test of time. He tried on the various metals but at the end it came down to white gold vs platinum. He wasn’t too fond of the look of the other metals, although they are cool, but we wanted something that won’t be a fad in 30 years. He def said NO diamonds!

At the end the price of the ring he wants in white gold vs platinum was not that big that I pushed for the platinum since it’s a better metal and will take wear and tear better. He has a physical job and is constantly doing stuff!

@MissNumbers:

Did you buy yours yet? The store I got mine from charges no sales tax when shipping out of NY State. And if you have immediate family in the military a 10% discount. Don’t know what ring size your husband is but it looks like it will be cheaper than the quote you are stating already?

We bought DH’s ring for $100 at TitaniumKay.com. It’s tungsten carbide.

Too much. i didn’t save up or anything cause I had assumed his ring was going to be only a few hundred. at max 900$ or so.. little did I know he wanted a Tacori ring too to match me. Ended up being around 2600-2700$… I can’t remember and that was only for the 19K gold. he wanted the platinum but i couldn’t afford it.

His is a plain yellow gold band, 6 mm wide. It cost between $500 and $600, I think.

His was $250 only because he wanted the lifetime plan where he can exchange it for a different size if needed.  It would have been about $200 without the plan.

He got a tungsten band.

@angeebride:  This is the ring that I want to get for my FI! Not sure what metal this is but I’m looking at a Triton Cobalt 8mm for about $170. Budgeted about $300.

Mr. Cappugcino and I have selected plain yellow gold bands that are just under $100 each with tax, although we’re planning to get the engraved inside which will probably add another $25-$50 each.

$200 for a 6mm tungsten carbide ring, comfort fit, from Triton, with lifetime warranty to replace if it is damaged or his ring size changes. We could have ordered his ring online for less, but we love our jeweler and wanted the security of knowing that if there were ever any problems, the jeweler would deal with them instead of us having to deal with the company.
