@JsDragonfly: Fiance has big fingers too, so it may end up being more expensive, but I like I said, if he’ll actually wear it I’ll buy whatever he wants! haha You never know though, he may change his mind once he tries some on. He didn’t feel like playing pretty-princess and trying on rings with me last time we brought my e-ring in for cleaning so he might not actually like how it fits. 🙂

His wedding band was around $450, I think? I’m totally blanking on any of the specifics for some reason!

Fi’s is Cobalt Chrome and was about $350. He really loved Tungsten Carbide, but our jeweler cautioned against it. Sometimes I catch him trying it on. It makes me laugh.

I REALLY liked their rings!!! But in white gold/platinum it would have been WAY $$$.

@Gerbera: Where did you get your husband’s ring? It sounds like exactly what Mr. P wants (for way less than I’m finding online!)

Here’s DH’s…it was around $1300 total at the Shane Co.
well, $2600 if I factor in him losing it and having to buy it again lol

I got my husband’s ring from The Facets Collection a jeweler based in NYC. The price reflects a 10% military discount and no sales tax due to shipping it out of NY State. And they do free engraving! 🙂 My band was also from there and they can tweak the molds slightly w/o additional fees. 🙂
There’s another site that had comparable pricing but I can’t remember the name right now. Found both via Price Scope. The Facets Collection was lower for me after the military discount. If you have any immediate family in the military they will give you the 10% discount as well! 🙂
P.S. A general note to all when shopping platinum rings check PT— content. That’s how much platinum is actually IN the ring. Ours are both PT950 which is the highest level of pure platinum in wedding bands available. That’s another thing to look into when comparing platinum bands. As are mm and ring size which all alters the cost of the ring.

My Fiance has to have his ring custom-made as he is a size 11 1/2.
We have not gotten around to making it yet but we got a quote for $1160. Sigh.

Our matching rings were 34.99 (They have increased recently to $49.99)
They are tungston with carbonfiber inlay (black) comfort fit, and engraved.
Here is the stock photo:
We got it online since we could find anything local he liked as much. Ended up being 75% less than we were going to spend on one he kind of liked in town. When we went back to that store to resize my Engagement Ring we realized his from EBAY looked even better quality and more comfortable.

@Gerbera: Thanks for that info! I’ve been looking at Facets for mine, I don’t know why I never checked the men’s section heh.

We just got Fiance his band. He originally wanted a $50 carbon fiber ring…until we walked into Tiffany’s and he tried on a platinum band. It’s just a simple platinum band with a flat face and more squared off edges (not sure the technical terms to describe it). $1900 later and he’s got something from Tiffanys and I don’t haha! But I’m glad he got something he really likes and will want to wear forever.
