we got super plain and simple white gold matching bands at $65/each. He works with super sensitive electronics all day so he probably can’t wear it anyway..so there is no point in getting anything fancy.

Thanks for this thread it’s helpful for me! We just started looking for our wedding bands!

Wow. I feel kinda cheap. He wanted stainless steel. Nothing fancy. We got it on Overstock for 12 bucks! It’s very “him” plus we won’t be crushed if something happens to it. Not that I want anything to happen to it.

We (I) just bought his ring the past weekend. I have a tacori platinum engagement ring, so I wanted him to have a nice band as well. We got him a tacori platinum band (that has some cool engravings) for $1500 at 40% off. Original was close to $2600 but the store was letting go of all their tacori stock so they were discounting. I think it was a good deal, as much of the platinum on blue nile is around that price too!

$1000 bucks! It’s burnished 18K white gold with diamonds.

$74 3mm 14k yellow gold from iweddingband.com
I got the exact same band, same size and width. Our priest got confused when he went to pick my ring from the two. We had to whisper to him that they were exactly the same.

I found his on Ebay – it’s tungsten and it was only $100, with a lifetime guarantee. If he ever scratches it, needs a different size, or it spontaniously combusts (ha!), they’ll replace it for free!
Sunset Jewelers on Ebay I believe.

After looking at platinum and white gold, my husband wanted a Tungsten ring, but it was also important to us that it could be engraved/resized at a later date if need be. We found this website http://www.tungstenworld.com/sizing/. They have been fabulous! His ring was the wrong size, no problem. I wanted it engraved, no problem. They have a lifetime guarantee that includes resizing, and his ring, that was exaclty the style he wanted cost us $300. He’s been wearing it for 4 months and it looks brand new (no scratches) unlike my white gold sapphire and diamond channel set band that is not faring as well (I’m asking for a platinum upgrade for our first anniversary).
If you have questions/ want to see pics, feel free to PM me. I don’t check the bee much anymore, but I will try to get back to you as soon as I can:)
Congrats! You’ll be happy to see the ring on his finger no matter what you choose:)

It was $950 at Smythe, a local jeweler. I hate to say it but I don’t even remember what the material is–it’s something of the silvery/platinum color, pretty simple/classic, no diamonds or anything. We still have to send our rings to get engraved, so from what I’m reading here that should be like $20ish? I’ve caught him wearing it a couple times too so I know he likes it a lot 😉
