Haven’t gotten married yet, but we budgeted about $6,000 total! So far we are well under budget…getting things for free helps 😉

We thought we would spend $50-60, $65 tops and we ended up spending $75, not including rings and honeymoon.  It’s crazy how quickly things add up!

Missjan2015:  We estimated 20k, after booking all of our vendors and setting our guest list we realized it would be around 27k. I have been saving every place I can and after all of our RSVPs we are about 23k. Not including honeymoon/flights. We paid for flights ($1,500), the honeymoon itself (which is so generously being paid for by my FI’s parents) would be around 3k.

Thought the wedding would be around $20-25K. With honeymoon ($3000) and rings ($1500) it was around $40K. My mom is a florist, so that didn’t even include the flowers. Would have been closer to $50-55K probably with flowers.

My Fiance came up with a random budget of 20,000 for 75 people… He refused to include the Honeymoon in that budget though (don’t ask lol)

Right now we are at approx 32,000 including bands and honeymoon – it’s not so bad though as my sisters and godmorher are giving me 2,000 towards my dress as my wedding goft and his mom promised us 10,000

All in all with the honeymoon and bands we’re spending about 20,000

I had wanted to spend about 15k and ended up spending around 25. It isn’t bad considering the original guest list more than doubled once parents got involved.

Still planning so it could go up, but everything is much more expensive than I had anticipated. Before doing any research I figured I could do the whole thing for $15k tops.

Then my parents got involved, doubled the guest list (and contributed financially) and I did more research and got us to a $45k budget. We’re on track so far but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go up to $47-48k.

Weddings are expensive!!!!  It makes me a little sick to think it will cost that much.

We set a budget excluding my gown and our honeymoon. I think we came close to our budget of around 30k because we started with a slightly lower budget but increased it accordingly to incorporate the costs of any extra touches/services we wanted (those little extras add up!)

Yeah…we set an initial budget of $25,000 and so far we are upwards of $55,000- and still almost a year away! Yikes!

We’re not finished with the planning, so I don’t know the final costs, but Fiance and I were hoping to spend no more than 5k when we first got engaged. At that point in time, we were planning to pay for it ourselves, and that’s what we thought was reasonable. Fast forward a couple months, and my mom was really hurt that we didn’t want her to pay for the wedding. We’re skipping a lot of traditional aspects and she wanted to feel like she was still giving us a dream wedding, and in her mind, that included contributing to the cost. Now that she is so generously helping us out, the cost of the wedding has gone up a lot. I don’t like that she’s spending so much money on it, but it makes her happy to be involved. There are a lot of things that were important to her that I didn’t mind one way or the other, so those got added to the budget that I originally wouldn’t have had. It’ll probably end up being 15k, and we’re inviting about 100 people (and expecting about 80 to attend).

I don’t have anything as drastic as some of the PP’s, but we thought we could do it for 4k. Then the guest list grew 😛 Now we’re up to $5200 and I think we’ll spend another $3-400 between now and the wedding. But I’m happy with it. It is a lot of money, but nowhere near as much as we COULD have spent!
