We registered for ALOT! And we got a lot. Pretty much everything on there was bought, and I had friends who came to me and asked me what they should give as a gift because there really wasn’t much left. I guess it all depends. Most of my stuff was bought for my bridal shower, then whatever was left was given at the wedding. Its okay though— many times if there isn’t much left on there you’ll get gift cards or money which is alway nice.

We also got a lot of repeat items — 3 toaster ovens for some reason @[email protected] lol We registered at WalMart and JCP

So far (wedding in 2 weeks) we have received about half. I think we registered for ~100 items. Lots of pleasant surprises ๐Ÿ™‚

One thing I have found VERY surprising is that almost 100% of what we have received are the kitchen items. No one is interested in purchasing linens, bathroom items, etc.

@rockoko: Yes I got ALL of my kitchen items from my list! One thing that wasn’t bought was a toilet plunger. I was hoping I’d see it in my pile of gifts with a big bow.

we got 42 of about 70 gifts that we registered for.  Most of it was from the shower, just a handful for the wedding.

I wouldn’t say we registered for a lot, but it was a medium amount of stuff. We got almost everything (necessary) from Target, and a few things from Macy’s. People favored Target though… so we got tons of gift cards for there, which we used for my husband. He says that he didn’t get anything… it was all for me ๐Ÿ™‚

@rockoko: That’s interesting, thinking back I think we got most of our kitchen stuff and way less for other rooms.

I also got pretty much everything for the shower, I think we registered for 90 items and got maybe 50, only 4-5 of which were wedding presents.  It’s because people generally see showers as a time for gifts that are in boxes and can be opened, whereas no one feels like bringing a gift to a wedding, so you get mostly cards (at least we did).

People are favoring our Crate and Barrel & honeymoon registries and have almost bought them out, but for some reason don’t seem to like amazon (even though most of it is universal registry anyway so I don’t know why..)

Probably a 1/4 of the gifts we got were presents from our registry. We got mostly cash.

Round one of registering went well. I got most of the things off my registry from one store. Only a few things from the other store but I would say about half for the first shower, we will re vamp the registry for the second shower in Sep and then prolly will leave it the way it is for the actual wedding. So we got a lot round one. We will see about the rest. This next shower is going to be a lot bigger around 50 women are invited.

We registered for about 6 items from one store and about 15 items from another store (mostly small items, maybe 3-4 in the $100 price range). When we finally booked our honeymoon a few weeks before our wedding, we set up a honeyfund and we got about 12 gifts for the honeymoon. We only got 4 physical gifts and the rest were all monetary.

We only registered at Target; I would say we received about 40% of the items on our registry. However, ours is a bit of a special case as we got married in my hometown, which is literally 3,000 miles from our apartment. We received mostly cash, checks, and gift cards because people were considerate about the fact that we would have to somehow get everything home. ๐Ÿ™‚
