We’re doing very well, actually. I’m hoping we come way under budget.

On the day of the wedding with eveything paid up, we were 10% over. I was really proud!

After the wedding we met with the photographer and well, we ended up having LOTs of add-ons. In total we are now 20% over budget, which makes me VERY annoyed.

What, no options for people who actually stuck to their budget/came in under? Wink

I planned on our wedding being 2.5k. Darling Husband planned for 5k.

It cost 4k, but I still voted for $1500 over!

Back when we had no real idea of how much the intricate parts of wedding planning cost, we set a budget of 12k. Then when we started adding it all up (from stamps, to the “bartender fees”, to the sand for the sand ceremony, to dress cleaning/preservation) we adjusted our budget to 15k and stayed about right at it.

@MissParrot:  we are not going to be completely sure until we get all of the rsvps back but we estimated that we will probably be right around 17,500 with an original budget of 15,000 but we are including the honeymoon in the final total so I don’t feel too bad because thats mostly where we splurged haha

We stayyyed on budgettt!! Which feels like a miracle from the things I’ve heard about other weddings. But we also overestimated everything that we got. Like for flowers, we budgeted $6000 and they came out to be half that!

@MissParrot:  We’re about $500 over budget as of now…with 4 1/2 months left.  I’m going to try to cut what we can to even it out…we will see how that goes, I guess.  LOL

Which budget?  It started as a ballpark guess of $12k, then bumped up to $13.5k, and then we added another $3.5 k in the last few months…

So over by $3.5k, I guess.  Whoops.

We ended up going over by almost $5,000 a big portion of that was the cost of my dress and the additional cost of flowers since we decided to go with a lot more then the minimal amount of I had initially want.

Our budget is 6k, and we’re currently a little less than $5k in, and I think we’re done. I hope.

We haven’t gone over yet because we’re just getting started, but my guess is about $2500. We were shooting for 10k but it’s looking a bit unrealistic. Catering quote is about 1k more than we anticipated. Photography technically we could stay on budget but we wouldn’t be able to afford full day coverage, so I might splurge an extra 1.5k for the package I really want. Oh and that 10% sales tax is a real bummer!
