I’m literally baffled at how CHEAP you can get a man’s ring for!!!
He’s been looking at some stuff that I don’t necessarily love, things with detail that I don’t like. But it’s his ring and he has to love it, so I was thinking of getting him a “stand in” for our wedding day/special occasions.
Keep in mind, the things he’s looking at has like…wood-looking details. Or black. Just stuff that doesn’t look like a wedding ring to me! And I love those wedding photos of all the rings stacked or one of our hands, and I just don’t see it looking nice with one of the ones he had his eye on!
Anyone ever have a similar predicament? What did you do?

@BurlapnLace: Both our rings (I actually have 2) cost about the same so we paid for our own. My Darling Husband loves a heavier/weightier/thickers band that he got custom made at a local jewelry shop for about $800. His is a mix using mostly rose gold and other metals to make a warm blush color. One of mine is a plain thin band made from the same metals (DH likes this because it “means we are bonded on a molecular level” LOL) and I also got a diamond band set in yellow gold from Etsy.

$13 on ebay… It’s Titanium. He doesn’t want to upgrade either, haha. He’s pretty simple.

@BurlapnLace: DH’s original ring cost about $1,100. Sadly he lost/had that ring stolen within a month of our wedding. His current stainless steel ring was under $30.00.
While we had planned to have the original ring remade he didn’t want to worry about losing something so expensive again. Fair enough. He is happy with what he has and it looks nearly identical to the one we had custom made, go figure!

Works on dozers for a living, we wanted something that wouldn’t show every scratch so we picked a brushed titanium, over tungsten ring. ……40bucks, on ebay. the ebay store is called verlini, and has a ton of options.

- Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas
He chose a traditional yellow gold ring for $400.

@BurlapnLace: his first wedding band was around $360ish. And then he got another band off Berricle for $30… And he likes that one better. Both rings are tungsten.

@BurlapnLace: $3,600 because he wanted the bling.

@Ms.Pink: LOL mine’s the same way! Plus, he’s not a jewelry wearer.
@amberjayjay: That’s good to know. My FH is in the gym 24/7 and does crossfit so he wants something durable.
My coworker actually said the most ADORABLE thing about his wedding band. He’s a little older, it’s a plain yellow gold band. When I asked if he wears it when he works out he said, “I never take it off. It gets scratched, bent and banged up but that’s like a reflection of my life and I wouldn’t change that for anything” <3

He has 2, and they are both 8mm and heavy. The 14k rose one was $700 and the 18k was $1200 I think,

He has two, both were under 20$ each on ebay. Bought a ceramic band at the jewelers that was 8mm wide and on sale for 140 and he didn’t love it because of the width. Looked online and found the exact ring in 6mm for 16$. Returned the one to the jewelers the next day.

Around $17-1800. He has a 8mm Palladium ring with milgrain detail and shiny and brushed surfaces.

$125 on Etsy.
But mine was $195 on Etsy, too!

His favourite so far is titanium, meteorite, and blue carbon for $745. Ones without the coloured detail are closer to $500 so we will see if his taste changes and if he will want to colour forever. He loves the idea of a ring with meteorite in it so I think he will choose one from the website I found, just not sure how fancy/detailed he will want it.
