I bought him 2 rings.
The first one is a tungsten ring which cost about $400 if i remember correctly. He almost lost it and then realized it didnt fit properly even though he loves it.
So i bought another which is titanium with a wood inlay. He loves it and it cost about $120 and feels much better for him.

@BurlapnLace: My Fiance wanted an engagement ring, and preferred Tungston, because he’s a “man’s man”. He picked one out for $300. It’s charcoal gray metal with black carbon fiber. Modern and manly, and he loves it.
I didn’t feel good about how much he spent on my rings and the fact that I get a “new” one at the wedding (my band). So, I just purchased him a sleek, but more classic white gold band for $650 today. I will give it to him to get married in, and he can wear it while we are on vacations, out to dinner, events, etc.

@BurlapnLace: My husbands ring was $200 and it is tungsten. I’m glad he wanted something simple unlike my friends husband who wanted a diamond on his ring..as if!!

@BurlapnLace: FI’s engagement ring cost about $400, I wear one half and he wears the other, so if you want to be technical, his was $200. We also received his parents’ wedding sets, so his band was free. It’s gold, though, so more expensive.

Over the time that we’ve been married, my husband has had several rings. He keeps on losing them. (Which, I know, sounds weird … but …)
He has had a few sterling silver ones from James Avery. I think those landed in the $100 – $150 range. And the most recent one is stainless steel and gold (plated, maybe?). It was $129 (on sale).
I really want to get him one of the metal and wood combination ones I’ve seen online, so I might do that. Who knows? Maybe I should order it and have in on hand just in case he loses his most recent band, too — ha, ha!

@BurlapnLace: $17.99 on amazon. It’s tungsten carbide and black. It’s exactly what he wanted so I’m not complaining!!!

$20 (with shipping) on Amazon. 🙂 Identical ring is selling at a department store at the mall for 5x the price, although FI’s is titanium and the other is tungsten.

Fiance originally picked a stainless ring for $59. Then didnt like how thick it was after we recieved it. So he now has a white gold band. $269.

For FH we ordered a 4mm comfort fit 10K white gold ring from Peoples online, it was $199. He works in a profession that it would annoy him too much to have it on his hands (and be unsafe) at work but he’ll be wearing it at night and on weekends.
