And how many did you order?
I found the STD magnets and invites I like from magnetstreet.com. I’m having a Destination Wedding so the Save-The-Date Cards look like passports and the invitiations look like boarding passes. They include sleeve, insert, and RSVP card.
All together I am buying 75 and it’s costing a little less than $500. About $150 for the Save-The-Date Cards and $350 for the invitations. Am I paying too much?? Wanted to ask you Bees before making the purchase. I know nothing about this stuff!
ETA: Don’t forget to vote for both questions!

$240 for 135 invitations (not including postage – that was another $110), very DIY pocketfolds. A ton of work but saved me probably $700 over ordering them.
$42 for 250 Save-The-Date Cards (not including postage) – used a Vistaprint groupon and designed them myself. Only needed 135, but VP quantities were 100 or 250!

105 Invites – $900

My invites were $34 a piece (calligraphy but not postage included here).
My Save-The-Date Cards were custom letterpress bookmarks and they were $11 a piece.
Invites and Save-The-Date Cards were one of my splurges!

I think I paid under 250 for std, invites, rsvps, matching envelopes, I only used about 140 of them but had to order more as the minimum.

We’re going to be spending around $150 for the invites themselves.
As for the STD’s, we haven’t quite decided! We are thinking of doing little packets [think those yellow bubble wrapped ones for mailing]. Stuffing them with our save the date, personalized stationary [pencils, notepads], and maybe a monogram sucker or something.

About $90 for everything, including the envelopes I bought extra. We have about 60 going out. I designed the whole suite and had them printed through Vistaprint with Groupons.

We didn’t do save-the-dates, but I did order gorgeous, very formal, engraved invitations. NOT including the professional calligraphy, tax, or postage, I spent more than $2K just on my Crane invitation suite. I think I loved my invitations more than I did any other wedding detail.
ETA: I forgot to note that we ordered 125 invitations.

$15 for 150 STD’s- sister had postcards printed at a printing company not associated with weddings. That dropped the price about 80%.
$200 + postage for 75 invites suite (flat panel card, envelopes, rsvp cards and envelopes). I designed them on word them and got them printed/ cut at a local stationery store.
