I didnt pay anything since my best friend is a photographer, but I am in LOVE with Desiree Hayes’ work, and her smallest package (10 5x7s in an album) is $450.

I paid $600, and it included a 1-2 hour shoot in a hotel room (she isn’t based in my city) and an 8×8 book with 20 retouched images of my choosing. Well worth it, IMO.

$675 for an hour shoot, the room, a hair and makeup stylist, and an album credit.

I paid $220 for two hours and it includes a 20-page photobook and edited pics on a CD with printing rights.  I had her come to my home and I provided my own hair and makeup.  By the time it was all said and done (props, outfits, hair and makeup, it was EASILY $500+)

I almost went with another photog who has more experience.  Her package was $500 for everything (hair, makeup, and even pin-up outfits).  It seemed so far out of my price range at the time, but looking back, it would have made more sense to go with that one.

Make sure you calculate the cost of everything – it really can add up fast.

Desiree’s work is amazing, I would book with her in a second if I lived in California.

@milesbella: So true…if I include the cost of hair and makeup and the lingerie I bought, I probably spent closer to $1000! (I went a little overboard on lingerie, lol).

I paid $150 for hair/makeup and a one hour shoot. The package is actually $550 but I found it through a deals site for a marathon shoot. The album will cost about $225.

Mine was pricy – $400 sitting fee, and $275 for CD of photos, and then I spent $80 for hair and makeup, $35 for a bikini wax, and $150 for new lingerie. So, it does add up fast.

Haha, I didn’t even factor in the waxing and lingerie… Ok, make that more like $800 total for me.
