I think that it was $100 for my makeup and $75 for each other person, and I paid for everyone, though my Maid/Matron of Honor and one doll Bridesmaid or Best Man just INSISTED on paying me back. Hair was around the same, and same situation.

My hair and makeup (airbrush with false lashes) and trial will be ~275 and my stylist will come to my location.
She was one of the “cheaper” options in the area. Her portfolio is great though, and my hair is going to be amazingly simple (as well as makeup) so I had no problem spending a bit less.

$75/pp for makeup and $75/pp for updo’s. My makeup trial will be $50. I’m covering both hair and makeup for my bridal party (myself, 4 girls and my mom)

I’m in Canada. I think I paid about $80? for my make up trial and $200-230 for my make up the day of the wedding including airbrushing. My make up artist travelled to me.

Not sure where you live but I am a freelance makeup artist and I charge $100 for bride $40 for each bridesmaid. If airbrush is wanted then add another $25.I also do free trails because in the long run I think they help me out in the process. If another trial is needed I would charge $25 -$50 depending how far I had to travel. I think $150 for just a trail is absurd really I would look around .

I paid $350 for my hair and makeup plus a tip, and $175 plus tip for the trial. I also paid for hair and/or makeup for my mom and four bridesmaids. My mom paid since I was busy when the MUA was leaving (I paid her back), and told me later the tip was automatically added and she was charged an extra 3% for paying with a credit card. This was surprising since the contract mentioned nothing about a mandatory tip being added, or an extra fee for credit cards. It only said I could pay with cash or a credit card. I was going to tip her; however, I don’t think it was right for her to add a tip without ever mentioning that previously, or including this information in the contract.
My wedding was this weekend. The MUA did a really great job, but that bothered me along with the fact that she didn’t communicate well for months, and at one point asked if an assistant could do my hair instead because she booked another bride whose schedule had become a conflict. That seemed totally unprofessional despite her offer to have my hair and makeup done for free.
In in the end she was able to do both and I was very happy with her work, but the tip and extra charge are bugging me.
