I think we spent $4-5/person for chocolate apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

We did wedding bells cookies with thank you tags. They were actually a gift from my husband’s best man’s wife to use as favors. She also made 200 garden fresh fruit tarts for the appetizers. She is such a sweetheart.

Before she offered to do this for us, I was thinking of doing the 3oz mini candles from bath and body works to go with our centerpieces (lilac petals & mint candles).

@MKWeddingBee:  We spent a total of $60 for 85 guests. We did like mesh bags filled with dinner (butter) mints. Lots of people loved them and they were inexpensive. I have seen too many favors left behind at weddings (about 1/4 of ours were still there), so I didn’t want to spend too much money on something. But if you find something you like and can afford it, go for it!

We spent a little over $1 each for our personalized tic-tacs. I designed/printed the label, and we found a flavor online that had both of our wedding colors.

@MKWeddingBee:  We are spending about $6/person on our DIY favors and we will have 125 guests. Fiance is VERY excited about making the favors so I wouldn’t dare take that away from him. If you love it- go for it!

We are spending $2 per person on personalized chocolate bars made by a small local chocolate factory. They will have our names and our wedding date on them, and we will put them at each person’s place setting at the tables. I can’t imagine spending $10+ on favours per person, yikes!

$3 for a chocolate maple leaf lollipop

less than $1 per person for home made gingerbread bride and groom cookies.  They’re my Grandma’s recipe.  And they were my favourite cookie growing up (at Christmas there’d be a plate for everyone to share and a plate for me!)

I’m coming in at $6 per person, but we’re having a really small wedding and the favors are ones I’ve had my heart set on since we started planning.  Most of our guests are artists (in some medium) so we’re giving out small sketchbooks and pens (plus it will be a fun alternative to dancing!).

The more I shop around the cheaper it’s becoming as I discover new deals!

We ended up doing about $1.50pp. We just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do Roman Candy from New Orleans and pair it with imported chocolates from Britain for the favors since this IS a “best of both worlds” wedding.

I will put tissue paper and a few pieces of candy and I am making homemade magnets for each person with small circle flat back stones, mod podge, magnets and print outs of my design

Also girls will receive those cute elastic no crease hair ties in our wedding colors

Guys will receive personalized match books in our colors with our name and date on it

Total cost will be about $1.50 each for our 50 guests

Our theme was homemade and diy… so I got all my grandma’s and my mom to make cookies and print out the recipes. We had a cookie table with paper bags for guests to stock up on cookies! So we paid maybe $2 for the bags and recipe cards.
