We haven’t decided if we will go through our photographer or find a seperate printer closer to where we live, but our photog quoted us about $1400 for a 30-page 12×12 ZookBook album. But it varies SO MUCH based on what you want. We didn’t want a photo on the cover, just a nice solid leather book with our names and date stamped on. If you are worried about price, the only thing you can really do is to ask around for different quotes for what you are looking for. The one advantage your photographer has over any other printer is that s/he will know how your wedding felt and exactly how everything played out, which I think is super helpful to tell the story of your day.

An album comes with the package we choose, but if we choose a different package and bought the album seperately, it would start at $1100.

Thats actually pretty inexpensive for a pro album. The books themselves, with no design or photos yet, run anywhere from $400 and up (this is the cost to the photographer). Then you have countless hours of design work and revisions, and then the photographic prints themselves that that are bound into the books.

These albums are not cheap by any means, but they are made to last for generations. So, in my opinion, yes they are very much worth the expense. I mean, why on earth would you spend thousands on professional photography just to display them through cheap inferior products that don’t match the origional images color/exposure? It makes no sense to me.

They are SO expensive! When my fiance and I sat down with our photographer, we really wanted one, however when we found out it was $500 for the smallest one, we about died. Let’s just say we did not get it and I will be making one through an online company for a lot less. It may not be as fancy, but I have made some that are really awesome through Shutterfly and Mixbook.

Our photographer charges $1200 for her largest album – eek! Of course it is rather big, leather bound, and completely customized (she sends each page via email to us for approval and customization prior to printing). She knew I was hesitant, so decided to give us 25% off if we ordered it at the time we booked her for the wedding (a year ago). Still cost us quite a bit but we figured it was worth it since our pictures will be all we have at the end of the day! And we had the entire year to pay it off 🙂
