We’re paying $2,000 and it’s a photographer friend we know. He usually charges $3200 so we’re getting a deal!

Free! My cousin is a pro photographer, and this is his gift to me. I have the option of adding a second photographer though, and it’ll only cost me $250 since he’s my cousin’s apprentice.

And my budget is only around $14k (as low as I can get it in the area I live in without doing cake and punch or potluck at my church), so he’s saving me some serious money!

I’m pretty lucky with all my vendors, actually. Videographer is a family friend and an in-demand pro around here. He’s doing it for $1k for 4 HD cameras and a crane, worth at least $6k. Cake lady is charging me $150 for 150 people; the other quotes I got were at least $700.

We’re paying around $900 for her to do all our photos (bridals and engagement), it’s about 10-20% of our budget at the moment but that could change. I think she charges much more now but we booked her when she was new-ish and she was nice enough to keep the price she first quoted despite the fact our wedding was over a year away. I have to say I love her and hope to have her do more of our portraits in the future.

$1700 I think and it includes all day and an engagement session and boudoir! It was a steal for her work as she just moved to our area and is building her clientele here. It was about 10% of our budget, though I was budgeting almost 25% for photography.

$500 including an engagement session. I posted an ad on craigslist offering that amount and picked the best photographer.

$2500 (which includes $500 for travel – she’s from our area bBut lives elsewhere). That includes 6 hrs of 2 photogs shooting, editing, and full rights. We might tack on a couple more hours at $150/hr.

$2500 is approximately 20% of the budget.

2300. They usually charge 2800. We are getting 500 discount as my FI knows the guy and were getting two photographers.

Free…FI is re-designing her webpage, so they are doing a trade-off.  Otherwise, it would have been around $1200

We paid $2500.  Our wedding was on Memorial Day Monday, so he gave us $1000 off.  His prices this coming year are going to go up though I feel, as he is super talented but fairly new (two years into weddings).

@Tigerlilybride:  We’re paying $3400, but this includes engagement shoot and a second photographer on the day of! And a CD with all the pictures and rights to print them, as well as an album of “highlights” for the bride and groom and 3 albums for our parents (FI’s parents aren’t together). This is about 15% of our budget… we went over, but my mom was willing to pay for it and it was fine with her!
