$200 in NC. It was his birthday and he still agreed to do it for us.

I was wondering about this myself! I have been given quotes from $50- $450! Nice to see what is normally expected in different areas.

Ours charges $250 for a “legal minimum” ceremony.

And I just realized you specifically asked about pastors so don’t mind me 😉

$500. We don’t go to church so we found him online by searching for a secular officiant. When we met him in person, we knew he was perfect!

dreamr12:  We are paying $340. He is a minister but we’re having a non-denominational ceremony 🙂

dreamr12:  $200. He works with my venue a lot. he will perform any religious or non religious ceremonies. He also meets with you in person to discuss the vows. he’s also very clean and put together well. I have looked at other  officiant and their prices were outrageous 400 plus.

Our officiant quoted us at $400, but we did everything on a budget and asked if he could help us out with the price.  We are now paying $200.

$600 to hire someone in DC… he’s a retired pastor and has been really great about helping us plan the ceremony and everything. It’s not going to be a religious ceremony, but hiring someone with a religious background was a compromise with my Catholic family who wanted it to feel more “legit” than having a friend do it.

We’re paying $273 for rehearsal and ceremony. We selected a neutral officiant since I’m not religious and the fiance didn’t want to use his pastor. For an additional $100 we can customize the ceremony more.

We are paying $500 for a reverend to come to our ceremony at our venue and marry us. The going rate was approximately that around my area which is suffolk county, long island  NY.

Nothing, because DH’s dad is a pastor and married us. He doesn’t do many weddings though, only for people he knows, and as far as I know he’s never charged for them.

We are paying 450 which is pretty average for around  here. There were others who were cheaper but the services were not as personalized and they would only meet once or not at all before the ceremony. we like the guy we chose a lot and can’t see anyone else marrying us.
