I voted $0-$50, but my dad will be performing our ceremony so I’m not sure if that really counts… Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!

My FI’s family friend is doing it for free! He’s done other weddings and is supposedly really good (funny, etc.)!

There actually was no set price for my pastor to marry Darling Husband and me, but, because my Darling Husband is also a pastor, he felt very strongly that we should pay our officiant well, and we gave him $300.  His services included not only officiating at our wedding and presiding over our rehearsal but also conducting six pre-marital counseling sessions with us.

I kept getting quotes for $450-$500 and there was no way we were going to pay that, I kept looking, and asking friends and family on facebook and finally found an officiant that has been in business for 20 years that will marry us for $195! We met with him to make sure we were comfortable and booked him! Just keep looking and met with them before agreeing, what if your just not “comfortable”, you have to get a good feeling about the officiant, make sure his attitude and manners will fit your wedding day.

Ours was around $500 if I remember correctly. He created a completely personalized ceremony for us. We really wanted to do something customized, and our minister was actually the cheapest for what we wanted.

We paid for the Church’s service, not the individual Pastor/organist. We were supposed to pay $400, but we rounded to $500 as a donaton to the Church for letting us get married there!

I looked around and found most in my area to be around $300 – $500. You have to keep in mind that they only work once or maybe twice a week. That was still too high for our budget though, so we had a friend get ordained online for $30.

Its about 250 including the alter servers (this is Toronto area Catholic Wedding)

But to get married in the catholic church we need to do the Marriage Preparation course. The Toronto Archdioces runs them at $250 a couple, but our church runs it for $150 a couple.

I checked off the 200-250 because I don’t really consider the 150 a cost for the priest?

We did months of pre-marital counseling with our pastor, and so we made our church’s recommended donation of $400 for his mentoring and officiating.

Ours is $550. If we want a rehearsal, it will be another $200.
