jane5730 :  I am a professional photographer, and that was my price (very roughly and not including engagement photos). I chose to price point that way and it worked really well for me. I no longer do weddings because I found them stressful, but I never had an unhappy client. I also don’t know whether the prices I gave are converted right, as I am not in the US. My country has Euros.

jayymed05 :  I paid $400 for 3 hours of coverage. 1400 photos and $4000 seems a bit excessive. I received close to 300 photos and that was more than plenty.

I think that’s reasonable. We are paying $3,500 for 10 hours of coverage (with a second shooter), an engagement session, and an online gallery with rights to download and print images on our own.

I’m in Atlanta. Most photographers that I researched were between $3,000-$6,000 with varying elements included/ excluded.

We paid around $3k and my photographer travelled from Dallas to LA and worked with a second shooter and included 8 hours of coverage. She was worth every penny!

I paid $3800 for 8 hours of coverage, 2 photographers, and the digital files + online gallery. No engagement session or album.

I’m a wedding photographer myself and generally speaking $3500-4500 is industry standards for rougly 8 hours of coverage w/ 2 photographers and typically will include an engagement session. That figure will vary depending on the package (if you have albums, extra hours, etc) and the experience/demand of the photographer(s) in question.

If you like their work, have good reviews I’d say that’s a really good price. Especially considering how many edits are included in that! Editing really makes the picture so you want to insure to get that.
