I got married May 20, 2017.

We had a 110 person wedding and I probably spent about $15,000 for everything: venue, food, cake, dress, hair, makeup, etc.

I could break is all down, but I don’t have the patience for that 😂.

Edit: this didn’t include my engagement ring, or either wedding band or honeymoon.

I’ve been married a little over 2 and a half years. Our wedding (not including my engagement ring or our honeymoon) was about 12k

Is 2 years ago recent enough? We spent 7000 max, including board for ourselves and several sets of guests and rental of two UTVs. Very casual wedding, not your standard formal affair.

blushingbridelove :  This varies so much on where you live. I am in Massachusetts and we kept costs down by getting married in the winter. People thought we were crazy, but we got a lot of discounts and it ended up being 65 degrees anyway! Total cost including rings, my dress, venue, sit-down dinner, open bar, DJ, photographer, hair and makeup, decor, flowers, rehearsal dinner, rehearsal karaoke event with pizza and beer for everyone, post-wedding brunch, invitations, thank-you cards, etc.  (everything wedding related but not our honeymoon) was right around $20K for 95 guests. This price is pretty much unheard of in our area for what we got (great caterer, beautiful venue, etc). It probably would have been at least $10K more during wedding season.

blushingbridelove :  we had no guests. We spent about $1000 for service, officiant, dress, tux, flowers, photography, and one night at the B&B. We went out to eat afterward for around $200. Both the B&B and restaurant gave us champagne. We spent probably close to $3000 on the Vegas honeymoon.

We are projected to spend about 16K. We would like to be closer to 15K.

But this is the midwest, 85 guests, open bar, buffet, and dessert bar.

(this does not include honeymoon or rings.)

I’m getting married in a month, and we’re spending a little under $11k (not including my rings or our honeymoon) for 60 guests in the DC area.

We got married last September in the midwest.  We spent about 10k on our 50 guest wedding.  That does not include rings or honeymoon.

Got married 3 years ago and probably spent $6000, if that. That doesn’t include the honeymoon.

My wedding is this November, so far (since family is pitching with reception, cake, and my dress was bought by MIL) we will be under the $2500 mark. It will be for 50-60 people in a beautiful church, small wedding party, bouquets for myself and my MOH/bridesmaids, with a reception following. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything so far. If I were to include the costs of what everyone pitched in, it would still be under $4000. I designed my save the dates myself and had them printed, the only splurges so far (not including my dress at $1000 since my Mother-In-Law gifted it to me) were my custom shoes from shoes of prey at $170, and my veil was $90. Pretty good I’d say!

Got married a few weeks ago in Southeast with probably around 75 in attendance. Total, not including Honeymoon or rings, was around $9,500. I had everything – venue, music, two cakes, food, flowers, photography, etc. but it was a late morning wedding with lunch reception.
