My wedding 2 years ago was probably around 30k when all was said and done.  In addition to that, my parents decided to be super generous and pay for 3 nights in a nice hotel for all wedding party members and out-of-town guests.  I don’t really count that as part of the cost of my wedding though, because it was not really necessary (wedding was only 1 hour from our home) and was a huge expense that they just did to be super nice.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by these “lower” numbers considering a lot of boards recently where bees posted their budgets were $100K+++.

Not married yet but nearly there so I have the numbers. Sunday wedding. Total is $7437 – all-inclusive venue, appetizers, plated dinner, open bar, decor, dress, suit, DJ, photography, hair, invites, make-up etc., Whole shebang. Venue alone is $5456 based on a count of 50 so $109.12 pp including service charge (22% ugh) and taxes. Almost a miracle in our area, even Friday and Sunday weddings have crazy minimums. Its about a $300 difference from the park wedding we had planned, not so budget friendly after all. Parents contributed $2000 total, our chosen budget was $7k but we have plenty of wiggle room. Preferred not to spend more than $10k on a one day party, personal preference. Honeymoon is $4326, first class flights and a 7 night Caribbean cruise. Travel is totally worth the cost to us. 🤗

My cousin got married recently and her wedding was about 30k for 195 guests.  My wedding next june will be 15-17k for 100 guests.  My brothers and other cousins weddings (4) where all in the realm of 8-12k and about 80-125 guests.

I would have kept my weding total closer to 15k, but we decided to splurge on a really fancy photographer and videographer and caterer.

My friends wedding that I’m in has very similar costs except in those area and her budget is 10k for 125 people

Another friend of mine who got marriend 3 years ago spent a little over 6k for her 60 person wedding.

I know htese budgets because I have had an active role in planning for all of them,, and my circle and family does not shy away from talking money.

Including rings/decor/dress/honeymoon/sit down dinner/open bar/photographer/dj/everything. I’m in for less than $8,000. Wedding isn’t until October, so I don’t have a final breakdown yet

I’m getting married soon in the San Francisco Bay Area, and estimating that the entire cost (excluding rings and honeymoon) will be about $22K for about 110 guests.  I guess I could have done it for less, but I totally splurged on a beautiful venue.

blushingbridelove :  got married 2.5 years ago and spent about $32k that I’m aware of. I don’t know what our families spent on rehearsal dinner, invitations, or rings which were all gifts but I would estimate were another $7-8k. We were also gifted our wedding cake which would have been probably another $2k. We had 125 guests and a cocktail/hors d’ouerves style reception which meant instead of plates my caterer made the same volume of food but all in tiny adorable bites that were hand passed by waiters – that got pricey fast! Honeymoon was another $2k or so.

Married last year, had about 600 in attendance, cost more than I’d care to share but it cost above average so I’m not sure my figure would be useful. Somewhere above $150,000. Honeymoon cost about $10,000.

We are doing a destination wedding this October in Puerto Vallarta.  As of right now, we are at about $35k for roughly 70 people.  This includes an estimation for flowers, but I haven’t chosen them yet, so that may increase the overall cost.  This does not include honeymoon or my engagement ring, which adds approximately another $25k or so.

I have a pretty detailed budget showing exactly what we are spending and where.  When all is said and done I plan on sharing the breakdown so other destination brides can get a feel for what we spent.

Got married in 2013 in Upstate NY. 90 guests (not including rings or honeymoon), wedding itself was about $10,000 total. That included venue, dinner, custom cupcakes, wine and beer, DJ, photographer, dress and accessories, etc.

We got married almost 2 years ago in the Midwest.  We ended up spending around $16,000 for 200 guests.  We found a great deal on a venue, had a great deal on photography, and I had friends who helped out with the music (which easily was our biggest splurge since I teach music).  I was very happy spending didn’t get out of control — it can do so very easily! — and I don’t regret anything about our wedding.
