My dress is second hand! I was wanting Sarah Janks Briana for soooo long, and luckily found it second hand for $1500, which is less than half what it retails for. It just needs a bit of taking in, but I sew, so it’s not an issue:) I won’t wear a veil. I paid for it, since it’s my second marriage

I’m in the UK.

My dress was Maggie Sottero- about £800 new

my shoes were about £150

my hair accessory was £200 (owch, but worth it)

bracelet: £20 (yay)

earrings: £40 but cost more due to import charges

veil: £100 (but it was extremely long and embroidered so a bargain)

I would have looked at gowns up to £1600 max but I felt it was a lot to spend, so when I found one I liked at under £1000 I just went for it. I do sometimes envy more intricate dresses but the money made me feel guilty. Everything I bought apart from the dress was via Etsy so I got some great bargains. I don’t really get why anyone would spend £500 on a veil from a mianstream retailer but maybe if I had more cash it would have made my life easy! I think bargain hunting can be really gratifying- you feel you work for it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My dress was $112 and kind of an accident. I was in a formal dress shop looking for something to wear to another wedding, when I saw it. My wedding dress was technically a white, floor length evening gown. When I tried it on I teared up and KNEW it was my dress. I was alone, in a generic mall, in a no-name store (I legitimately can’t remember the name of it). But that was fine. My shoes were my something blue – they were navy blue with little white flowers Toms I ordered online (Toms are literally all I wear) they retailed at $60 plus shipping. My earrings were just simple faux pearl studs and crystal studs (I have two holes in each lobe) that were already in my collection, but I am pretty sure I got them at Claires in one of those 3-for$10 sales. My necklace was a gift from my coworkers. It was a tiny teardrop opal on a delicate gold chain from The Bay (which endedup being my something new) I have no idea how much it costed. I wore a double strand pearl bracelet that I borrowed from my boss (which was my something borrowed). I also wore a sterling silver anklet with butterfly charms on it that I’d had since I was a kid as my something old. I opted to leave my hair down and have no veil or headpiece.

As for undergarments, my dress had a built in bra. I bought some sheer control-top pantyhose from the drugstore for maybe $10. My ONE regret was my plan was to wear this adorable white and dove grey pair of victoria secret panties retailing at $7.99. I noticed as I was putting my wedding dress on in the bridal suite that in some lights you could kind of see them. So I ended up going without panties (which made me feel a little awkward). If I could do it all over again I would have invested in a nude pair OR a pure white pair.

I looked like a million bucks, but paid a mere few-hundred!

My dress and belt was $1200, shoes $60, veil was $60, alterations were $250, and strapless bra was $60. So total USD$1,630. My parents paid for my dress, belt, and alterations. I did not wear shapewear because my dress fit me perfectly. I just got a bra from victoria secret. My veil was cathedreal length.

When you finally said yes to the dress, what did it cost? Who paid? Where did you go (in store/online/etc)? My dress was $2500. My  mom paid. I went to Bridals by Lori in Atlanta.

What did you spend as far as undergarments/veil/accessories go? I already have a great pair of spanx so didn’t have to buy those. Other undergarments ran me only $15. Veil was $150. Other accessories (jewelry, shoes, sash, hair piece) $350

Not me but my dress! So love it.

My dress was $1980 from a local store. My mother and god-mother split the cost as a gift to me. I will be paying for alterations and accessories which I do not have yet!
