    We paid a little over $1,000 for his custom white gold wedding band which was lost/stolen about a month after our wedding. Ugh!

    Now he wears a $25.00 stainless steel band he bought online that looks very similar to his original ring. He is too afraid to replace the original ring now that he knows how easily it is lost. Boys!

    My husband’s was £700 (c. $1100) for a chunky plain platinum ring – 5mm I think? About twice the price of mine haha

    His was originally about $500, but we got it on sale for just a little over $200. It’s titanium and brushed rose gold with a small diamond accent.

    I paid less than $40 for my hubby’s Tungsten ring.  It’s beautiful and he loves it (well, considering he didn’t want to wear a ring, lol).

    $1,950. I kept thinking it was $1,650 but it’s $1,950 for his size 11. Platinum.

    I was ready to buy him a $3k Tacori ring, but he picked out a $40 tungsten ring from Amazon.  He’s happy so I’m happy.

    @MissSangria:

    Actually, for that size platinum band, the retail price you were quoted sounds consistent with the research I did when purchasing my DH’s platinum band. However, because I bought his ring from the same jeweler that he purchased my e-ring setting, center stone, and wedding band, and the jeweler bases discounts on the total amount of money spent, I received a very sizable discount on my DH’s ring.

    DH wanted tungsten carbide and so I bought one at zales for almost $300 and then he lost it! I found one almost identical to it off ebay for less than $20 and the quality is the same…now I feel really dumb for spending the $300 in the first place!

    @Brielle:  $1k more than a 4.5mm Platinum ring from Tiffany is consistent with your research? Even the 6mm of the ring DH chose is only $2150 in a size 10 and I’m sure that’s marked up because of the Tiffany name. Link.
