@limekitty:  $2700 for a 60 person wedding.  We actually got a good deal considering we’re doing 2 types of ROSES for a wedding that takes place a week before Valentines day

    Flowers for:

    • Altar

    • 6 guest tables

    • cake table and cake

    • escort card table

    • memorial table

    • gift card table

We did sola wood flower for my bouquet.

No option for this, but for flowers alone I spent probably $300-$400, if you include the arrangements I got at the florist for the church and a couple welcome baskets.  Costco has a flower dept where you can get 100 roses for $100, and 100 stems of baby’s breath for maybe $80ish.  My bridesmaids and I made the bouquets while we hung out and chatted. Took maybe a couple hours.  All my girls had white roses, and the guys had red, which I got for $10 at the local grocery store.  Easy and cheap!  For my bouquet, I snitched a couple purple flowers and a couple lilies from the church’s arrangement before taking it over haha.  Rose petals on the tables were silk and cheap, so I didn’t count that in the price, and the purple carnations I had floating in water with candles were real but also quite cheap.

Here’s a pic where you can see my bouquet and a bit of the table.

ETA: We had about 85 people and 10 tables.

It depends what you want in flowers to be honest. If you want expensive in season flowers during your wedding, be prepared to pay more. I didn’t vote because the only flowers I’m having are my bouquet, my girls bouquets and a toss bouquet for later. Fiance hates boutineers and my decorator went to a seminar late last year before I met up with her and said people are slowly getting away from them (in my area). We decided to try and find suits that have pocket squares instead.
I have a lot of floral allergies to worry about so we decided to do more candles than floral. I’ve also seen floral prices depend on where you live so that can make a difference as well.

You could maybe do something like this, but instead of roses use carnations. If they’re put together in bunches like that they look really pretty. Kind of like this…

We spent $1200. I am convinced that my florist, a friend, charge me less than she should have!

@limekitty:  I think it also depends on the area you’re in.  We have $1600 for flowers and that’s only getting us 6 corsages, my bouquet, 2 BMs (need to add 2 more), 2 flower girl pomanders, cake flowers, centerpeice for the alter, and 10 small, single stem orchid arrangements for down the aisle.

ETA: The 2 additional bouquets will add $150 so we’re still under $2k at least.

@limekitty:  You don’t have an option for under $1k. I spent $325 for flowers including centerpieces.  I was very happy with the look and would not have spent a penny more. I think $3k is probably more than enough for flowers, but it really depends on what flowers you choose and if they are in season. We were going for a very simple look and flowers were a very low priority for us.

    A few pics…

    We spent $900,

    my bouqet:250

    2 bridesmaids:50 each

and $550 for 40 small center prices: 20 vases with 3 blown roses and greens, 20 vases with white srock and greens.

it was much easier for us to do many small center prices as we had rectangular tables, 10 tables-80 guests- 4 vases per table, and I think that helped with the cost, I also supplied the vases so I was not charged for those by the florist.

Mine costs about $230, we made our own bouquets, plus 50 boutineers and had tons of roses left so we sprinkled a crap load on the head table and on the cake table etc

@limekitty:  We have budgeted 1200. My FI’s mum offered to pay for the floral arrangements, which is lovely, but that’s our original budget.  My cousin is a bridal florist, so she’s doing my flowers, but we haven’t talked budget/ideas yet.  We don’t want a lot, the 6 bouquets, 3 corsages, 3 flower girl balls (we can’t drop petals), 7 boutonnieres, and some flowers for the cake and a few for the centrepieces (they’re mainly glass and candles.) I think that’s enough.  But we may have to do something else for the ceremony.

We spent about 3K. However, that included a some non-floral decorations too like the ceremony draping, candelabras, entrance table, lanterns, and chair rentals for ceremony.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what we got:

Sorry for the huge amount (and size!) of the photos. I just wanted to show how much my florist did for my wedding. At first I was shocked by the price but I really feel like she went above and beyond for me.
