@limekitty:  Well my personal flowers and floral decor combined will actually cost more than $3k, and I’m still thinking of adding more so hopefully I won’t go over $4k for everything. I’ll try not to… 😉

We are planning to spend… Nothing lol. my FH uncle grows a garden of flowers every year that bloom around our wedding date. He’s been itching to  grow a whole feild of them and our wedding is the perfect motivation. But if we didn’t live in farm country, we would probably do those giant paper flowers like these i would still like to incorporate these into my wedding. They remind me alittle of Alice in Wonderland  which was the first book FH gave to me.

I am spending a whopping $290 on flowers.  I chose only to have flowers for bridal party and myself.  No table flowers, etc.  I love roses but flowers die, and I could never justify spending $$ on something that may be dead by the end of the night.

Depends on what you want. I opted to go without flowers for the decoration, and really, no one missed them. I moved the flowers budget into a dessert table (to supplement the dessert courses) and a snack table for cocktail munchies. Only flowers I spent on were for the bouquets, whih came up to be under $50 in total. Centerpiece wise, I went with tall martini glasses with floating candles instead. Take a look at non-floral options instead, and have your bridesmaid bouquets double as headtable decorations too. 🙂

Our current estimates are less than 700 for our flowers.    Neither us nor our families think they’re important.   We choose to have a minimal flower budget and move that money into a venue that is so amazing as is that we don’t need to add decor.

Oof. This makes me so glad I’m having a city hall wedding. I think in total we’re spending $300.

I think we ended up spending around $850, after tax, on flowers. We ordered them from Costco.com, and they were great – not super elaborate, but I wanted something clean and simple (and I didn’t want to spend $2 or 3K!). Shipping costs were included, and the flowers arrived very(!) well packed and in great condition. We ordered a 14-piece wedding set of black calla lillies (~$450 – lincluded bride’s bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets [we only used 1 for my sis and grouped the other two into one arragnement for the wedding-site entrance], 6 boutonnieres [perfect for groom, best man, my dad and step-dad, his dad and there was one extra], and 4 coursages [2 moms, 2 step-moms]). We kept it simple, small wedding party, so that a smaller floral package would work. For the centerpieces, we ordered bulk white roses (also from Costco.com) – got 3 sets of 100 flowers for $90 each. Overall, they arrived in great condition. My sister and I made very simple arrangements of about 20 flowes each. I admit this was a much bigger pian in the a$$ then I originally invisioned, but in the end they looked classy and beautiful – perfect for the lovely old mansion that we got married and had our reception in. They weren’t super elaborate, but that was part of the trade off to do it ourselves and save some $. I was happy with them and glad we didn’t spend over a grand. But more helpers to make centerpieces is advised! We were totally drained after 4 or 5 hours of working. Stripping leaves and thornes is a lot of work!

@limekitty:   We’re at just over one thousand.  We have a gorgeous venue, though, which already has floral decorations, so we didn’t have to do much more than centerpieces and bouquets.
