I think if I want flowers for centerpieces I will buy them myself wholesale but my mom is buying my flowers as well as 4 bridesmaids and possibly the boutonnierres for the groom and groomsmen. I know it varies by location but I just wanted to see.

I would have to say it depends on where you live and the flowers you choose also (whats is in season)
I live in Aust and am spending around 1k. This includes 3 x bouquets and 7 button holes for grooms / family members. We are also having 10 centrepieces and it includes the hire of vases for the centrepieces and delivery to 3 locations (which are thankfully local to the florist). I was lucky enough that I what I had chosen included standard flowers (roses, peonies and greenery) and those are in season.
I’ve also found it also helps if your happy to bulk up any greenery slightly to save on number of flowers in centre pieces, its just as effective and keeps the cost down a bit! 😊

I think my flowers were around $1,000. However, I just did flowers in the church and didn’t use any as centerpieces, but I did reuse some things from the ceremony at the reception which saved a lot of money. I reused a long green garland from the ceremony for my head table and put the flowers from the pews around my wedding cake.

sharpie01 : I personally love greenery in bouquets and centerpieces so no problem there! Good to know it helps keep the cost down. I love organic and romantic looks.

We are ordering from Costco and doing our own.

We spent $4,000 on flowers which was ALOT of money, but it was worth it.

We spent $750 on flowers. We only did flowers for the ceremony and did non-floral centerpieces at the reception.

We spent about 4k on a 75 person wedding. I personally LOVE flowers and spent more because I cut out things I didn’t care about, like a DJ. I also had very rare flowers that needed to be imported. It all depends on what’s important to you.

I spent $300,I bought my flowers from a wholesale florist in Florida…. that was for 25 stems of stargazer lilies, 50 stems of white oriental lilies, 100 white roses. I made the three bouquets. The rest of the flowers were used for my cake and placed on tables…. I had a smaller wedding anticipated about 40 guests. I over bought and most of the flowers were tossed in the trash, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

For my private ceremony with a medium sized bouquet with lots of greenery and one button hole, cost me $170. For our celerbation of 38 people with one kings table, we used a olive leaf/branch garland that cost $60. I’m in New Zealand. Greenery really helps keep costs down!

I’m paying 1,300 for my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, flower girl petals, buckets of babies breath going up the aisle. Ceremony flowers that will be reused at reception, table garland at head table, tall center pieces on every other table and tall floating candles on every other table with some flower decor to add to the centerpiece. Also misc. flowers for cake and cookie table and the memory table.

- Wedding: February 2017 - The George, Christchurch
I am based in NZ and spending around $280. That’s for 1 bride bouquet, 1 bridesmaid. 4 buttonhole for men and 2 women buttonhole. Also includes 3 heads per vase and have 8 vases.
We are having Gerberas as they are the only flower my SO buys me.
The place we are buying them have their own gerbera nursery which I think makes it a bit cheaper.

BMoreBecc : That’s a better deal than most I’ve seen in the DMV – mind sharing your florist?

We spent 6K. We had a 500 people wedding. If I could do it over, I’d cut the flowers in half. It was beautiful and breathtaking but absolutely ridiculous and wasteful.
