$50 seems to be about average for the non gold rings. Darling Husband hated gold and wanted something stronger so we went with cobalt chrome. 8 months in, it still looks as shiny and perfect as the day he put it on. My white gold rings need redipped though and are scratched.

My fiance wants the simplest white gold band possible.  We are going to get this one from Blue Nile.  $435, but I got a LivingSocial voucher that essentially takes $100 off, so the total will be $335.

we were looking at white gold bands but they were in the $900-$1000 range and I balked. We went with a $200 tungsten ring πŸ™‚

DH’s ring was about $1000, and is white gold with a single sapphire.

He was dead set on tungsten carbide which was a-ok with me considering those run around $50!

My wedding band was $150 and his was $620!!  But of course when you count the engagement ring, my finger is worth a whole lot more πŸ™‚  We both got white gold – his 6mm and mine 2mm.  We looked at 2 different jewelry stores and one was pricing his identical gold ring at well over $1K.  It pays to shop around!  We probably could have found something cheaper, but we liked the service at this jewelry store and plan to return there for future purchases.

He got one similar to Tungsten but I’m not sure if that’s exactly it, its black and looks really cool! It was $38 πŸ™‚

We spent about £16 on his ring – not sure how that translates to dollars though.

All of our things are as cheap as we can get them, no point spending loads if he’s happy with something simple.

@X0JLYNN03:  tungsten is actually the metal used in light bulbs, the filament that glows. πŸ˜› We went with that because the jeweler said it scratches a lot less than the golds. I’m pretty sure Kay’s would have it πŸ™‚ Most jewelers do, from what I’ve gathered around the Bee

EDIT: Just looked, yes Kay’s has tungsten rings πŸ™‚
