We are spending $5700 for two photographers all day, 3 albums, an engagement session with prints, a guestbook album and thank you cards.  Oh and rights to our prints.  It’s a lot of money but pretty normal for where I am.

$2441 for two photographers and:

  • airfare for two
  • land/sea transfers for two
  • 2 nights hotel accommodation for two
  • 6 meals for two
  • 7,000+ raw pictures
  • 40-page (8×10) coffee book-type wedding album

we’re pretty happy as the photographer gave us the 2 DVDs with 7,000+ pictures just a few days after the wedding.

$1800-$2000 for two photographers for 9 hours of coverage with proofs and rights to all the high resolution images. It also included an engagment photo session. My friend used them and they gave her MANY MANY pictures.

This was by far the best deal I found in my area for professionals. I had a hard time finding someone for under $2,000 that gave me 2 photographers and more than 5 hours coverage.

$3000 for one photographer for 6 hours and rights to the pictures. Nothing beyond that. Best I could find for good photography in Boston!

EDIT: Though it looks like pinkshoes found a better MA deal. That sounds perfect!

This was a huge deal for me. But in the end we decided that having good photos was going to be worth the money. We found an amazing deal on a great photographer considering in our area, prices are WAY more.

$2200 for full day coverage, 2 photographers. $500 for a high resolution disc so we can print our own photos, so $2700 total. This does not include any photos but we have a friend who owns a lab who is going to make us a photobook, which would have been $2240 more.

My friend just had a wedding and only spent $1200 all in, and it shows (ie: tripod in the corner of the photo, unedited for the most part, the wedding book looked second hand…blah)
