I’m spending about $8900 for 2 photographers, 1 engagement session, 1 post session, and 1 album.  I know it’s a lot especially compared to the other prices pple have paid on here, but I’m not a bad photographer myself and I’m really really really picky.  hahaha

I nixed a lot of photogs because they used the wrong lens at the wrong moment or they used too many of those vintagey effects, or if the horizons weren’t straight.

Plus I wanted my photos to be special…and not look like something I could have taken myself, which I found was the case w/ many of the lower end price points I looked at.

So photography basically ended up being about 1/3 of my budget!

@carolyn.sp.79:  Holy cow, small world– I know her family! i don’t actually know her, but her pictures have been popping up on my FB for years.   Arielle’s work is absolutely stunning, I’m amazed at how talanted she is.

This post happens once every one or two weeks.  Thus far you’ve seen pricing range from $350-8900.  I’m not really sure how it’s going to be helpful to you.  It would make much more sense to me that if people asked this that you also asked for a web link for the photographer as well so people can at least see how big a difference in quality there is.  Otherwise all you have is a post about numbers and stuff… neither of which speak to the quality of the photography.

Our total is $2,500 (or right under, it’s not totally even, haha). It includes 12 hours of photography with our photographer and a second shooter, 3 discs of images, all the rights to photos, our engagement photos, and our rehearsal dinner. I think that’s it! We chose not to get any prints because I’m way too indecisive and I know it will take me forever to decide, haha.

$1700 got us two photographers, all-day coverage, unlimited shots, retouching, and three months of online gallery hosting. We paid $500 for the disc to make our own albums and prints.

My parents and in-laws thought I was nuts when I told them that this was the cheapest price I had been able to find in the Pittsburgh area, but it was. Her prices have gone up to $2000 now — as well they should. She was AMAZING to work with, and we’ve even stayed Facebook friends. (Yes, I know that’s a business technique, but it wouldn’t work if she wasn’t awesome.)

$1300. Two shooters, unlimited shooting time day of, a day after shoot, an album and a CD with print rights. They also flew in from Texas to Vegas to do the shoot and we had our wedding pictures, fully edited, within a week. It was a steal, they’re friends of ours and we were very lucky to have them agree to be our photographers.

For reference, it cost us $1400 just to get an hour’s worth of pictures on a CD from our package photographers (we had to use them during our ceremony due to the casino’s requirements).
