I feel like I’m possibly going overboard at times and other times I feel like I’m being cheap. I don’t know what to do exactly. I’m getting them backpack coolers, personalized hangers, mani/pedi, and their jewelry…

Groomsman we are getting backpack coolers, flasks, bottle, and their tie.

Well I am spending upwards of $150 on each bridesmaid, but it’s on things that some people don’t consider gifts. I’m buying their jewlery ($85 per set) for the day of the wedding, plus a new purse that they will probsbly use for the wedding ($25) plus I’m paying for their makeup because they all want it done ($50). I’m also putting emergency supplies in their purses ($10), as well as new flip flops. My maid of honour and another of my BMs  are also getting an additional gift ($125 g/c each towards a batch of homemade wine) since they are doing a lot for me (planning our jack & Jill, hosting my bachelorette, etc).

Where I’m from, it’s normal for the gifts to be the jewlery that you wear the day of.

I’m paying for their makeup and I paid for one bm’s dress.

I am also getting their jewelry.

However, for actual gifts I will be spending $110-175 on each bridesmaid.

    I’m getting:

    ‘monogrammed robes

cosmetic bags filled with stuff and a VS gift card

gift cards to their favorite stores in different amounts ranging from $50-100

@FortiesFlare:  Out of curiosity…is it jewelry that they would wear again?

I’m spending around $100-$120 per girl. I’m also debating getting my maid of honor a little something extra, I’m not sure yet.

They’re each getting a personalized/custom clutch (not wedding-themed), jewelry (not wedding-specific) and a robe. I’m still debating the robe, since we’re getting ready at the hair salon and may not be the only people there, but I still love them. We’ll see.

@gelaine22:  I don’t know really, that’ll be up to them I guess. I’d totally wear it again, and I know at least 2 out of 5 of them will for sure.. I’m not sure about the other girls. I could see them wearing the peices separately (as in just the earings, or just the bracelet, or just the necklace).. But maybe not the whole set all at once.

I know it’s a lot to spend on a set someone may only wear once, but it was the only set I liked.. And I looked for months.

Where are people getting the robes from? My wedding is in Aug and I don’t know what to wear for getting ready.

Her actual gift was around $50, but I also bought her dress and earrings (~$300), plus hair and makeup.
