janna121215 :  Your wedding flowers are absolutely stunning!  Could you possibly tell me how many flowers you ordered from Costco?  Your look is what I’m hoping to achieve, but I’m having a hard time doing the numbers as far as how many flowers I’ll actually need per bouquet or centerpiece.  Yours are just perfect and I would never ever guess they were DIY!

This is the only picture I have (they were about 12″ diameter), but they were $30 from local farmers market type supermarket.  “Real” Florist were quoting me $75.  Same for the bouquet, got the same thing from Whole Foods (which also does center pieces but I had already put in an order for these), my bouquet and 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man ones were $210 there (and that included a rush fee cause I didn’t go in till 2 weeks prior), that florist were quoting me 600+ based on the same pictures I showed them.

We spent around $80 a piece. We ordered our custom centerpieces from Orchid Republic in Sherman Oaks– https://orchidrepublic.com

I already commented before but I’m helping my friend with her wedding and she is telling me that she is getting quotes between $75-150/table.

I think we spent less than$120 for 9 tables and our sweetheart table by not doing floral arrangements. I think centerpieces are an area where you can save money and not affect the guest experience.

Where are you located? I’m also doing greenery on my centerpieces with some flowers sprinkled in and they are like $40 each. We are having the florist build them day of and using a mix of eucalyptus and some other greens. We are in the Midwest but if I were you, I’d definitely shop around. $145 is a lot

When it was all said and done, I spent about $300 for our centerpieces:

$370 for centerpiece boxes & table numbers
-$330 for sellng some

$240 for mercury glass votives
-$220 for selling some

$20 supplies for additional table #s

$200 for 100 kalanches and different succulents from the local farmers market
Gave these away at the end of the night

I’m so rapt that eucalyptus is getting a turn and looking popular. I LOVE it but about to bring it up to Fiance and was worried it was going to be too ‘Aussie’ (I am but he’s american)

now I know its popular I’m so excited

All of our linens come included with out venue pricing and we arent doing table runners. We are doing centerpieces like these in our colors that the venue will  design using silk flowers and they rent for $45 per table. We will be spending $450 total on centerpieces

To recoup some of your flower cost, you could always sell them to another local event after your wedding on Bouquet for a Day (bouquetforaday.com)

About $150 in total. My husband and I grew all fresh herbs and some beautiful white potted flowers, we had approx 80 plants all together.

They were also the favours for guest to take home. We still have heaps left now that we have in our garden and pick from regularly when we cook.

We really enjoyed growing and looking after them, was something nice we did together.

We had large IKEA lanterns (44cm ones) filled with flowers. The flowers were £35, the lantern was £15, and we spray painted it gold (maybe about £2 worth of paint?)

We then also had three mismatched little lanterns per table (2 from the pound shop, one online) which was about £5 all in. LED candles in these were Halloween ones bought in November – 50p per table.

The table name was printed at home and hand calligraphed and stood up using prosecco corks tied together into a stand, as were the place cards/menus. So our tables all in were £57.50 + some change, but we’re selling the lanterns on to balance it out a bit!

Our flowers were $1000 in a high cost area for 18 centerpieces, 8 bridesmaids bouquets, 11 boutonnieres, 1 bridal bouquet and 2 corsages.  However, I purchased all of the glass vases at a thrift store for about $1 a piece and allowed the florist to pick the arrangements that would work within my budget.  I honestly didn’t care too much about centerpieces and they all went home with someone at the table at the end of the evening.  Hell, even my bouquet went with someone.
