$3,000…full out package with 2 dj’s, italian speaking mc, 4 tv’s and light show, favors….he’s a big DJ in westchester…you get what you pay for in my opinion…
we’re really into dance music and he’s the best around!
Music and food are very important to us…and also take into account the NY metro area being pricey…

We are paying $450 for 6 hours and our event is outside so the the dance floor lights will be perfect. We found him on gigmasters.com

wow!! i cant wait to hear about your wedding lol.
I plan on going to see him a one of the clubs before making our final decision, because music is really important to us too! I just think that he would be really fun since alot of our guests already know him. Im not really concerned about paying for our lighting because this way i can pick and choose what i want

thats just for the dj. we also saved money on the hall too. that kinda money adds up. that why we chose friday.

$1100 in NYC for 4 1/2 hours. We’re pretty happy about it.

I know were are able to get discounts on our venue too for having it in the off season, i know it adds up. We were able to save almost $4000 on just food, alcohol and the venue by having ours in january.

$1075 for 5 hours in DC. I never thought of a DJ as super important (I mean, how different are they?), then I went to my FI’s Christmas party. The first year was awesome. Everyone danced all night. The next year had a new DJ and no one danced. He couldn’t get us going. So we drank instead. Instead of everyone raving about how fun it was, they complained about massive hangovers. Similarly, the only feedback I heard about a family wedding last year was how horrible the DJ was. As a result, DJ is really important to us.

i agree! We have been to 3 family weddings in the past few years, the first one was an amazing DJ and everyone was dancing, even Fiance Grandparents (93 and 95) were able to share a dance! one of the other weddings they only used an ipod and literally no one danced, then the last one we went to the wedding party were the only ones dancing

We paid $1000 for a very well-reviewed DJ (on wedding wire), plus I think about $500 for a string trio who played during the ceremony.

May I ask which DJ company you r using? I’m in NY and just started my dj search.

I paid $525 for out of town DJ plus $180 to put him up in hotel.

$900 for both ceremony and reception.

That’s a fantastic deal, OP.
We paid $1k for 6 hours and that didn’t include much of anything beyond the normal DJ stuff.

Our DJ is $1875 but we’re getting the uplighting, 7 hours (ceremony and reception) of music, and a photo booth with some fun props.
