3 weeks:  2 weeks in Asia and 1 week in Maldives… ~$20k.  We stayed with my family while we were in Asia.

Wow, these are some big budgets!  We’re going to Costa Rica and got the tickets for just taxes thanks to my frequent flyer miles.  We’ll be there for 9 days and I’m hoping to keep everything else under $2000, maybe $2500 at most.

FH isn’t really tropical/beach guy so we decided on Lake Tahoe. We haven’t gone yet so i don’t know about after food etc. It is 2000 for 6 nights in an amazing cabin all to ourselves!

@KristenGotMarried:  SO JEALOUS!!! That sounds amazing.

Money was tight for us, so we just took a minimoon. We drove to Vermont for three nights/four days. B&B was about $200/night and included breakfast. Our only other expenses were gas and meals, so it was a very cheap trip! Less than $1000, for sure.

$3500 for a suite on a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas. Add spending money, alcohol and Disney World then our total is close to $5K wow I didn’t think it was that much until I saw it in writing.. this will be the most expensive trip we take for a long while.

We spent about $2500 for a 7 night Alaska cruise. That included our airfare and shore excursions, plus all food and drink. I feel like we got a great value, especially since we splurged and got a balcony room!

I would definitely recommend a cruise if you are on a budget. We booked about 3 weeks before, and I think we got the fire sale price, which was awesome. We probably could have gone as low as $500 per person if we got an interior room. We also got a great deal on the flight to Seattle, so we lucked out.

You might be able to get reasonable airfare to ports in either Florida or S. California – if you subscribe to a site like Travelzoo they email about great last minute cruise deals. It is a great alternative for people (like myself!) who are on a budget.

All these seem like huge budgets for honeymoons. We are going to go to Disney and hope to spend less than $4,000 for 5 nights.

$2000 total (for both of us) for airfare and 9 nights at an all-inclusive resort on Isla Mujeres! We stalked the travel websites for months. SO EXCITED!!

We’re going to Charleston, SC for 5 days. $1500 for hotel. We did a honeymoon registry for things to do, all of which were bought (before any other registry item got bought, which shocked us, but people were excited to give us something romantic): private carriage ride, harbor cruise, a Heritage Trail Pass (entry to all the historic sites), and that sort of thing. Cost of all those things would have been around $570.

Add in gas to get there and back, meals there, and a nice gift for the friend who’s keeping our dog for us, and the cost of the entire honeymoon will add up to about $2500.
